I'm going to bring this thread back to life just to cause chaos and an enormous meltdown.
why is a college drop-out LARPing as an authority on history?
Because he has more subscribers than you.
Might makes right.
Probably historia civilis, his videos on role are outstanding
based sister, i also love histantifa civilis
Isn't he conservative? He's a cicero and cato fanboy?
out of my way, israelite

Schwerpunkt, I find his schizo rants endearing, and ever since I began watching the occasional ramble, I have begun to get ads for schizophrenia medication
>Watching youtubers
>Instead of reading Academic Journals
NGMI, I don't consider anyone a "histuber" unless they have a list of at least 25 citations per 10 minutes of a video. Most of these idiots plagiarise wikipedia or offer binary views of history without proposing counterarguments or academic perspectives
Academic journals don't have any more authority than a random youtuber.
They’ve got sources which automatically makes them more reliable than YouTubers, there’s nothing wrong with a little speculation either as long as it’s clearly indicated as such
I just watched some of this homosexual's videos and he is a complete fucking idiot. Apparently he dropped out of undergrad history? No wonder.
Academic journals do have more authority than a random youtuber, because it is a requirement for good academic writing to be able to support your argument with a wide variety of primary sources, research and modelling which the average youtuber is too thick to understand or include in their video.
>I actually have 4 journals published on Turkic migrations along the Pontic steppe and it's 90% bullshit, the vast majority of journals are equivalent to shovel ware not meant to actually be of use and just part of the process in getting a degree and scholarships
You're lying outright, or you just published in a shitty university journal and not actually something for professional academia.
>Academic Journals
>Thinks that these are actually reliable and not mostly composed of random long shitposts
I actually have 4 journals published on Turkic migrations along the Pontic steppe and it's 90% bullshit, the vast majority of journals are equivalent to shovel ware not meant to actually be of use and just part of the process in getting a degree and scholarships
Academic journals are boring, this is a hobby not a job
>muh citations
peak midwit
The only thing you really need are primary sources by the way. The rest is just opinion.
read a book
>Called Whatifalthist
>Doesn't make alt history content
Seethe more vaushites, keep getting dunked on
For example
Whatifalthist implied that there was a direct correlation between the underlying principles of string theory and voodoo based on the ancient greek idea that human souls were attached by strings. He said "there is no scientific basic for this but it would be cool if someone researched into it however"
Americans simply are not human beings. They do not possess human intellect

Russel Walter is the only youtuber on philosophy I have come across that I like. He’s clearly well educated and knows his stuff so he’s not just some pseud college drop out reading Wikipedia, it’s interesting videos and he has cool editing style for his videos without going over the top, and he just speaks like a normal person so you know his videos are serious and for adults. There is no cringy, unfunny skits or dress up segments or reliance on internet meme humor any of the other insufferable theaterfag shit that plagues breadtubers.
SandRhoman is comfy if you like the 17th century
I liked The Great War
