depends on the parts. if one member contributes the only good material, then the group is irrelevant. CSNY for example was nothing without Young. The Eagles were mediocre without Walsh. Wilburys were one of the few supergroups that really worked.
you could make a case for the Yardbirds. They were fairly big but nothing like what happened when they went their separate ways. Not saying they weren't really good and influential ... they just were not that big.
Oysterhead. They’re not bad, but Oysterhead on paper is the best rock band that will ever exist. The most fun bassist ever and most fun drummer ever in one band with a flexible guitarist.
If Claypool had decided to do anything but make it sound like Primus, maybe they'd have something. Claypool has 50 side acts and each one sounds silly like Primus. Oysterhead would've worked if he had just played bass and sang some nice harmonies with Trey.
You start.
He already did.

Blind Faith?

The thread should be “Whicj supergroup surpassed expectations?”
I have no idea if ELP did but they have one of the best live albums of all time so maybe them.
Asia
although 'Only Time Will Tell' is a certified hood classic
GTR
GTR was great though, at least for one album
No band has ever been so washed up before their first time playing together.
Tom Petty was on his heyday back when he was in the Wilburys
Harrison was fresh off his best album since All Things Must Pass. This guy's a retard.
That one's the best
I just noticed that he's quite possibly wearing the same sunglasses as le meme face album.
Anyone else able to smell the mothballs?
Its sad to think they were still better than current GnR too.

Traveling were great fuck you pleb
The Firm werent a great band were they? I only really know that song Radioactive.
to be fair Paul Rodgers is the greatest vocalist who has never been in a good band
audioslave and a perfect circle
The Traveling Wilburys is the only supergroup that deserved to be called a SUPER GROUP!
More like a support group for middle-aged men with no more rock'n'roll left in them.
The WORST "Supergroups" that come to mind were Damn Yankees, ASIA, and H.S.A.S.
Asia was pretty brilliant.
A bunch of prog guys sick of being known to only musicians decided to write radio singles with prog sensibilities.
The Firm
Radioactive was their big hit, and it was weird and disjointed sounding
