With gas prices the way they are? Right now you need something more sedentary and slightly mobile. Like a roadside stand as some people suggested ironically. Unless you have some sort of skilled work you're not going to get people to pay for the fuel overhead as Pedro will always undercut you.

Roadside stands are illegal and unlike in boomer days the cops wont just ignore it. I havent seen a roadside stand since i was a child. Its been regulated away. Lemonaid stands are illegal too

I've seen them around in my area and some outskirt areas selling flags and garden gnomeelry. During festivals and gatherings they pop up a lot so there must be some loopholes.
Another business model I'm seeing is food trucks that hit up all the construction sites I'm sure they make a killing.

At the festivals you have to register and pay a fee but depending on the festival it can be affordable. So thats a valid idea. Im not even going to try and sell food in canada, very strict rules and only a few places in the city youre allowed to put a food truck and they cost a lot you cant just show up. Need a million dollars basically if you want to sell hotdogs, not allowed to sell anything else except at festivals for some reason where you can sell food other then hotdogs. Im not a lawyer so its all pretty intimidating

I have considered doing all I listed here but I think I will instead gamble my entire stack for a x2 on some shitcoin and then take the 68k and put myself through flight school and become a pilot. Don't really want to cater to fart/burp fetishists on onlyfans nor massage ugly people. Nor shine shoes that aren't mine. Or sell my vegetables when I can eat them myself. >crypto scamming

I remember seeing a post a while ago where an anon claimed he made pretty decent money scamming jeets. He said he set up a wallet with around 2k chainlink inside of it, and would intentionally give out the private key to scammers. The catch is, he said he had a script set up that would automatically send any eth that arrives in his wallet to another one of his wallets wallet. So jeets would try to send eth to his wallet so they could get gas to steal his stinkies, but in reality they were just sending him free eth. This is such a golden idea that I didn’t really want to share it but I’m not 100% sure how to go about setting it up. Could any anons possibly tell how how to do this or give some tips? And don’t spread this around too much because if jeets start catching on then we’re out of business.

        Anonymous

would not they just use the gas in the wallet already?

          Anonymous

He transferred the link to the wallet and then made sure there was no eth on it. I just don’t know what script he was using or how to set it up.

            Anonymous

you know you can trade link for eth right?

Yes but that doesn’t have anything to do with how the scam works.

              >anon sets up wallet with 2k worth of link on it and nothing else and purposely gives out private key
              >pajeet sees 2k chainlink in wallet but can’t take it out because there is no gas
              >jeet tries to send gas to wallet so he can take out link, but anons script sends it to a different wallet
              >coins have been stolen my bastard

                Anonymous

this doesn't even make sense and wouldn't work unless jeets are downloading the script.

I just want to say how funny it is to see exactly what it looks like when you’re going to make it.

I could never afford a car ill have to take the paint on the house. Probably not feasible without a car. Cant really do pc repair for that reason either. Thought about repairing phones but everyone does it, why go to me some sketchy dude operating out of an apartment rather then the store in the mall. And if I break the phone even worse trying to fix it do i get sued or something, especially since id be repairing the phones at home which is illegal in residential zoning. I just dont wanr to end up in jail for trying to be less poor. Plenty of dudes hack videogame consoles though out of their homes without getting arrested. I dunno, i fear the nanny state regulations but also fear continued poverty. Its all so tiresome

honestly? go for flipping items on eBay. it will get you in the business and get good at dealing with stuff, then you can find your niche and move up from there. my cousin's did this on some other used selling app starting with building pcs from used parts and selling them, then he found out it was more profitable to sell cases themselves, and now he mass sells PC cases to a shop

        Anonymous

How is this shit even real. Why is a computer shop sourcing their cases from a random dude i dont get it. Sounds like some kinda scam like dropshipping. Everyone talking about reselling shit on ebay even my normie friends have mentioned it. Just sounds like a scam. Assembling pcs from used parts to sell is against zoning bylaws but probably can get away with it if you just list on classifieds and dont have a website or business name will probably go unnoticed so maybe thats a good idea

          Anonymous

I can tell you’re not very smart based on the way you write and worry about “zoning bylaws”.

You should probably stick to a “trade business” like Electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, construction, etc. Hire and manage people, manage and plan equipment purchases, advertise. Make sure you get a CPA to do your books that you trust.

            Anonymous

Im not insulted but please explain so i can learn why worrying about zoning bylaws is stupid. Also why did you put zoning bylaws in quotation. Theyre real, ive read them.

You are on a thread about starting a business with $2,000. That isn’t enough for a months rent for an office. Meaning you either start a business in your apartment/home or you don’t. Ignore zoning until you’re big enough to afford a dedicated manufacturing facility/office. That’s why you’re dumb for worrying about zoning.

You also need to work on your written communication skills.

You can qualify for an FHA loan with3% down. Granted you have to live there for at least 2 years. 3% of purchase price plus closing costs. Banks generally want to see prior landlording history.

Yeah but you're in Canada as you've stated everything is over regulated. Food is out of the question reselling is out unless you have a skill you can sell I really don't think there is much else. A lot of the low level tech work like website building is oversaturated. Electronic repair is going out the window as the firmware won't allow third party repairs. Go buy ten ender 3s or whatever flavor of cheap 3d printer you want. Get a home shipping setup. Find something to print that meshes with your life and sells. Some people look into their hobbies or at things that bother them in day to day life. Thingiverse is full of stuff to sell. There's a few people on facebook selling a couple hundred dollars worth of landfill material like Rocktopuses a month so anything works. I like fictional objective use itmes. I live with my parents and I'm one of the ugliest healthy human beings. What I mean by that is that the only people that are uglier than me are people with deformities and various sicknesses. I just need money to sustain myself once my parents are gone. People are ruthless and have no mercy with individuals such as me and I just want to hide at home. Maybe if I find a behelit I could become the egg of the perfect world.

The better you look the more opportunities you get. Oh well. Socrates was one of the ugliest men to have ever lived and he shall be remembered for eons after our dust as long drifted in the wind. Good luck friend

obviously services are more profitable than products (see above)... but providing services yourself is time consuming.. and probably you aren't any good at it either.. no worries! just go on sites like upwork and guru, see what the demand is, whether it's bookeeping or seo, or whatever.. doesn't matter.. respond to all those posts.. find out enough about what's required, then take those requirements over to Fiverr and get yourself a quote to get it done.. hourly work? all the better.. huge mark-ups! no one will ever know it wasn't you doing the work.. uncapped income potential! multiple lines of work! .. you're gonna do great.. and you don't even need to spend the 3 grand.. get a few email addresses for free.. make several profiles on all the sites.. and spend what you need to in order to respond to enough posts to get the business.. upwork for example, makes you pay to mass respond to the job posts.. fuck all this ebay, etsy, and craigslist bullshit! you don't need that crap! be a legitimate businessman..

I used to draw manga as a hobby up until I was 21 and I wasn't bad but it was always on paper. Is it hard to transfer those skills to the digital sphere?

As long as you know shapes and volumes everything should transfer. The only real difference is the digital stabilizer.

i've been thinking about setting up a shopify store selling themed printed stuff (mycology and microscopy related, maybe some houseplants and cool landscapes too), could this be niche enough? i have some other related products i'd like to sell too (grow kits, diy synth ktis, etc). it's all i can think to do really. hoping i get more creative as i mature business-wise.

I just want to say how funny it is to see exactly what it looks like when you’re going to make it.

large signs have insane markups and are very easy to sell
just walk in to almost any church at all right now that doesn’t already have large signage and offer them a 4x4 double sided aluminum sign for $500
then farm out the design to fiverr if you can’t do it yourself

because nobody sees it that way
“hey i can buy a pencil from you or i can just go chop down some trees, mine some graphite and aluminum, harvest rubber, and then combine it all to make my own? i’ll KEEP my dime thank you very much!”
that’s how they see it and most people are so illiterate when it comes to graphics and print that it may as well be that difficult which is why the only comparison they have is vistaprint

I could sell pencils then. Buy a pencil at the dollar store and then stand in front of the dollar store trying to sell that pencil. Because people are so dumb they wont understand how to get their own pencils!

Thats what it sounds like when i hear people talking about selling things they buy online. Like, people know how to shop online and google things now its not the year 2000 anymore.

you could do that if the dollar store was invisible and the only place people knew too but pencils sold them for a quarter
you could sell them for .20 all day long

Whats your marketing plan. Build it and they will come? Good luck. Probably the advertising costs to get a worthwhile number of customers blows the whole business idea.

The only way to start a business is blind unjustified optimism, confidence, and luck. Pessimism is just realism so im going to stay poor unless i stop being realistic and start chasing illegal scams and bullshit ideas like the ones itt

I've built a social media following from taking initiative and actually attempting stuff, not being a defeatist little bitch. And yes, paying for ads at some point most likely. The clothing would only be a small portion of the entire store.

I was like you before I just decided to full send it. I've been amazed with how easy it is to be successful when you're working for yourself. The money is out there, you've just got to get it. Stop being a homosexual and try for once.

its completely realistic and what literally every single vendor does at the markets. I chose to farm gourmets since lts not something that scales well, so you're not competing with national producers, and i didnt have significant local competition.

Because you never did any of those things its just some fantasy scheme you optimistically cling to give you some vague sense of hope. You believe in it because someone tried to sell you a book on it by convincing you it was possible. In real life you need regulators, inspections, insurance, licensing etc you cant just shake hands at the farmers market and sell bedroom mushrooms because the vendors at the farmers market also need inspections and licensing and insurance etc. Everything happens through corporations and massive distributors now no one is even legally allowed to buy or sell mushrooms you grew in the bedroom of your residentially zoned apartment. Thats a pipedream larp

Why would anyone pay extra for you to be in the middle instead of just going direct to the same place youre going to. This sounds like the kind of scam that only worked back before boomers learned how to use their computers.

signs365 and sinalite can power an entire print shop and all you need is the adobe suite or equivalent

Ok, so I make the signs in adobe and then arrange to get them printed and delivered. That sounds like its not even a scam. Do you have to pretend youre a real print shop printing them yourself or is it just straight up not even a scam in anyway. Im just confused where the scam is since all these other ideas ive heard are just scams of some kind but your idea actuakly sounds real

                Anonymous

                that’s because it’s not a scam lol
nobody asks about gear or anything they don’t care they only care about product
                your only line is:
“i’m right here in town. i need to order the material so your lead time is X after we’ve finalized the design.“
if they ask whether it’s all in-house or not you can be 100% honest.
“i contract these out so i can get them for you at a good price and maintain high quality for everyone. you’d be looking at twice as much if you tried to order it on your own”
i haven’t even had anybody go that far but if they do, they’ll check around the usual spots or a local printer that actually has the equipment and overhead etc. and they’ll find out you’re the cheapest
if they even have a clue how the process works, they’ll have already done it and the place will be decked out

Ok cool, this sounds feasible actually. And i already know adobe stuff pretty well. Thanks for something that sounds real

                Anonymous

it IS real and you go to businesses like this all the time
you don’t buy anything direct from the manufacturer and you probably don’t even buy from a distributor you buy from a retail establishment
no sign shop does everything in-house. none.
the large scale printers DO NOT WANT these customers coming directly to them which is why they put barriers to entry up
they don’t want to be dealing with retarded files or design changes or selling or customer service or blah blah blah they just want to print and ship
you deal with the people and prep the files and handle the last mile delivery and keep whatever you built in for your fat ass cut for the trouble

3k can get you about 300,000 QANX tokens. That's $300,000 when QANX hits $1 a token.
I wouldn't be surprised because the layer 1 hybrid blockchain has been getting a lot of attention lately from institutions too.
