High school dropouts who don't really have opinions except "haha guitar go brrr" and the self-esteem barren girls who vie for their attention
Blink fans who turned into Peep fans and don't have a Peep now
TikTok users who are getting into pop punk.
I'm a zoomer who got into blink-182 in 2021 and even I can see MGK is nothing like that type of music. It's more just like, corporate mandated pop rock.
>what are machine gun kellys demographics? >is he basically like a justin beiber?
Kinda, he's too old to be making pop punk for zoomer girls and he needs to dip his homosexual painted nails in acetone.
>But that's the core of what makes it Pop Punk, the statutory rape
That is one of many reasons why I've always disliked the genre, but more than that is the obnoxious inflection typical of that vocal style.
It's a genre for people who suffer from an arrested development.
rock has had underage groupies since Elvis. the issue with pop punk is it's commercialized corporate trash to sell suburban 12 year olds skateboards. also those bands were a watered down caricature of Bad Religion.
it's a strange thing about music in the last decade or so. often artists can still deliver the goods live but nobody knows how to make listenable albums or use a studio anymore and i have no idea why that is.
Pop punk has always been like that. They will gladly do extended guitar noodling live but never include solos on their albums. Weezer and Green Day were always like that too.
as far as i can tell he's milking 30 something white trash women's nostalgia for early 00s pop punk. but i'm not really sure.

Sure that's part of the issue, but moreover I find it a wholly disgusting genre because of that stupid nasally SoCal vocal trope.
so big deal, all your 60s boomer rawk gods were commercialized corporate trash to market blues and fake rebellion to suburban teens
Peak musician
honestly not bad as far as posers with guitars go.

Especially compared to Tim Henson. At least there's some attempt at actually playing guitar here.
i thought this guy was a rapper
Rappist, you mean.
He was until Eminem destroyed him.
