>We're not designing a desktop for people who like to choose their own terminal emulators.
What exactly did they mean by this?
They mean Gnome is for normalfags, not autists.
I mean, just look at it. Duh.
What makes you think meaning it a metric? And please, don't leave comments if you have nothing to say.
>choose their own terminal emulators.
mostly people that actually use the terminal would care about that, aka they are making a desktop environment for normies
>does everything in its power to make normies abandon linux
What did gnome mean by this?
People who actually use the terminal instead of LARPing on the internet really don't give a shit. All of them work.
>normie
Fuck off, newfag.
They don't want you to use the terminal, especially considering they tried to push a new terminal that lacked so much shit even redhat rejected it
gnome terminal is good
it's just a terminal, what more do you want?
look i like gnome and there isn't anything you can do to prevent me from liking gnome. especially wayland. gnome + wayland is pure bliss.
>gnome + wayland is pure bliss
Are you having sex with your computer or something? You should just be using your os to run applications
Do you not feel enjoyment from using things anon? I feel enjoyment from not only using Linux but gnome + Wayland as well. If I didn't feel enjoyment from things I use, I wouldn't use them.
I don't think I really enjoy using an operating system, no. I don't really dislike it either. It just opens files or applications which contain content and the content is where the enjoyment is. I suppose you could say there's a potential frustration level associated to an os and if you use an os that's frustrating then go to one that isn't frustrating then the alleviation of frustration could be perceived as enjoyment but I'd say it's more akin to relief.
We are two different people then anon. I find myself finding more enjoyment using linux than I do actually playing games. I actually enjoy playing games more on Linux than I did on windows because it is on Linux. It's odd I know. I don't even know why I do. I just really enjoy using Linux.
Not him but, I can see how operating systems can be not fun, for instance, when using android
I know why. Severe autism.
I use cinnamon, xorg, and nouveau drivers and I notice nothing. It works. Many enjoyments... *yawn*
There is literally nothing preventing you from using any terminal emulator you want on GNOME.
