We're actually, unironically going to be rich

Imagine the situation when staking and CCIP comes out.
CCIP cuts crypto fees across the board by 90%. EVERY project in the entire space starts using it.
Staking causes chainlink to be the first crypto in the entire space that generates real, non-inflationary value. The first legit use case of the blockchain The only crypto that will be able to say it isn't a ponzi.

And it's all going to happen this year.

Why would CCIP cut any fees? Are you retarded?

      >why would a solution that makes all chains usable as one reduce on-chain fees??
      gee I dunno anon

      Anonymous

No one answered this question because you know he is right. CCIP makes cross-chain communication easier & secure. But CCIP does not reduce gas fees because all oracle computation is already off-chain computation, optimized with OCR etc.

it will not reduce cost because you need to deliver a data into l1 blockchain. you need to spend that gas. solidity tricks will reduce gas fees. OCR already optimized everything & reduce gas fees.

What chainlink can do at this point ? since they have a monopoly, they can increase $link cost per job. They need to find new use cases to spent more $link or maybe they can say, if CCIP information carries 10bilion, you need to pay at least 1000 $link etc.

        Anonymous

This. However OCRv2 will reduce gas costs further.
Saying shit like CCIP reduces gas costs is as retarded as saying eip 1559 will reduce gas costs. It just displays that you don't understand wtf you are talking about

              Anonymous

okay, i am too lazy to check now. then its great, after ocrv2, gas would be reduced %90.

                Anonymous

Where are u pulling this 90% number from?

                Anonymous

OCRv1 was based on on-chain computation. 10 nodes needs to write on-chain and smart contract will calculate the price.

OCRv2 computes everything off-chain and writes only the result to on-chain. in 10 cl node network, 10 nodes needs to spend 10*gasFee, but with OCRv1 its only 1*gasFee, %90 reduced gas.

this is what I understood from presentations on OCRv2 protocol.

                Anonymous

                ocrv1 -> 10 nodes, 10 write request on-chain
                ocrv2 -> 10 nodes, 1 write request on-chain

                typo fixes.

Why would CCIP cut any fees? Are you retarded?

Without CCIP, protocols basically have to do a whole bunch of redundant and repetitive actions like spreading liquidity pools across various blockchains.
With CCIP, there would virtually only be a single liquidity pool.
        For example.

Ya, it lets the air out the balloon. Everything siloed on Ethereum doesn’t have to happen there. You can have entire applications move to L2 or split components to different chains without UX suffering. Seamlessness is a scaling solution

I don't think they can increase prices, devs will just copy the relevant parts of the code and do it themselves, it's not hard. Just skipping the price aggregation is what enables attack vectors, just don't do that then, easy

          Anonymous

they dont even need to do that. they can just create their local oracle node without going through regular kyc process.

but if you want insurance on top of it, you need to go through regular process.

i dont see any reason for forking chainlink node & smart contract libraries. you can even use any erc20 token to pay the jobs.

but if you want to use anything on chainlink network, you need to pay with $link.

I discovered stoicism and to accept external events I have no control over.

The suffering I endured was a necessary process to create the current me and remove the last part of narcissism and unhealthy ego I still had inside of me.
I am now trying to be more objective in my investments and to stop being passive in my investments.
The price of Chainnlink crashed on me, but I should have been prepared for this worst case scenario better.

Obviously the globo homo wanted to make me suffer and I underestimated their insanity.

Chainlink is a decentralized token while XRP is a centralized coin with its own chain. Chainlink is blockchain agnostic meaning it can work with different underlying blockchain technologies. The chainlink token by itself doesn't do anything but it's designed as the one and only way to access the chainlink network which is currently in production. Basically, the chainlink token reflects the health of the chainlink ecosystem whose primary purpose is securely delivering real world data onto the blockchain in a provable, trustless manner.
