Just imagine being a young nubile disciple at a Buddhist monastery, all these hunks just taking advantage of you while you're bent over cleaning floors....
The Buddha did shave his head after he attained enlightenment. The depiction of The Buddha with hair is usually to make his image, and therefore doctrine, more appealing to the masses or how he looked pre-enlightenment.
Why do monks all have these attitude like they're above it all and that everyone should kiss their asses?
There was this monk who came to my uncle's funeral (i'm asian). Then a couple days later he called my cousin asking to borrow money. But he didn't even try to be nice. He still couldn't help but talk in that voice and tone like we should be glad and honoured to be doing him a favour. What a fricking butthole.
Just because you are a monk doesn't mean you are perfect. Conceit is something that is very hard to let go of, and some monks have a lot of conceit from being a monk.
Even monks who are of attainment will act like you are describing. In fact, their conceit may even increase from attainment.
Call them out if you can; being a monk is not an excuse for being an douchebag.

Orthodox priests in Eastern Europe do the same when they do funerals (or marriages), though they generally take the money upfront
I think it's just common in backward countries.

Definitely Theravada. Mahayana...more like Marayana!
No thanks, gay.
If the buddha has hair why do the monks shave their heads?

because Buddhism in East Asia is as corrupt as Catholicism in South America.
The anon sounds more like SEA.
Theravada tend to be ritual beggars.

>simony on top of le toll houses, schism and KGB church
ordobox are a sad meme
Mahayana is far more interesting to study
Mahayana is best. More interesting, and definitely more aesthetic,
Mahayana is super broad.
More like trenavada lmao
He buck breaks little silly Mahayana sloots all day
Just as gay as Mahayana if not more
Theravada is the straightest thing there! It even has a specific teaching telling people not to be gays.
Vajrayana
What's even the difference? Google just says Theravada want to become arhats and mahayana care more about the collective or something
they're both pretty homosexual, but probably Mahayana since it's such a blatant shitpost of a religion.
Theravada is a lot closer to what the Buddha actually taught, but Mahayana is very kino.
>Theravada is a lot closer to what the Buddha actually taught
This. Nothing else matters. Suck it Marayanists!
Zen (Mahayana) > Theravada > Pure Land (Mahayana) > Vajrayana
Madhyamika (Mahayana) is superior
