andre 3000 is the psychadelic one and hes been stone cold sober since southernplaya at his own claim not only in lyrics but interviews

and OP was talking about LSD not weed regardless

no ATliens andre at least was sober idk about big boi

              >Softly as if I played piano in the dark
              >Found a way to channel my anger now to embark
              >The world's a stage and everybody gots to play their part
              >God works in mysterious ways, so when he starts
              >The job of speaking through us, we be so sincere with this here
              >No drugs or alcohol, so I can get the signal clear as day
              >Put my Glock away, I got a stronger weapon
              >That never runs out of ammunition, so I'm ready for war, okay

thats off Atliens the title track

              here's from an interview
"'Looking in the mirror. They say, when you're high, you shouldn't look in the mirror. And I did. And I saw myself deteriorating and I was like; "You look terrible. You got to cut this shit out or you won't make it." And I stopped. I rarely drink, I don't smoke, so my vice is probably creating. I'm addicted to creating. And women. Oh, women.'"

Well, Paul McCartney for example wasn't taking LSD when he did songs for Sgt. Pepper, he was doing coke, so you don't have to be on psychs to make psych music.

yeh i hadnt reloaded the page yet, and im the poster you were replying to lol
well aware you dont need drugs but OP specifically talking about music made with LSD and this post

                They already know about it.

was implying outkast used lsd which in all fairness big boi might but i highly doubt it and hes not the way out there one of the duo
                '
Stankonia was so left field because it was entirely produced by their 3 man production team as opposed to their previous albums being almost entirely or largely produced by the Organized Noize
maybe im reading into this too much I am autistic but yeh i just love Outkast as a group so happy to have any related discussion here

Nah, I appreciate your input, I don't listen to them regularly, but I like psych rap/acid rap stuff and I was told to listen to them. I don't know what their most psych album is, despite them not being on them while making it, but I guess it'd be ATliens.

ATLiens as an album concept is definitely psychadelic

but for me it's Synthesizer I mean the song has George Clinton who lead Funkadelic from the OP image so thats about as close as it gets between the two

Excellent, ty for this. Aquemini is also their highest rated on RYM if that means anything.

You will grow out of this temporary phase very, very soon. Don’t spend any money on vinyl or something because you will regret it when you move on to your next musical phase. I give it 2-4 weeks max

Does the OP post sound like he’s been listening to the artist for a long time, or more like it’s something he newly discovered and will soon move on from when the novelty wears off?

Is this how someone talks about a band they’ve loved for years?

It’s like me being a Kiss fan for years and then making a thread exclaiming “israelites + makeup = EPIC!”

It’s just a poser way to talk. Don’t be mad that I accurately decided OP is a new/temporary fan of this music

You're right the OP post reads like a thoughtless YouTube comment that was accidentally posted here instead.

Thank you. I feel like I’m going crazy here sometimes. People here just give each other a pass for being total homosexual and pretend not to notice. It’s like an unspoken mutual agreement to be huge fags and not call each other out on it.
