I was homeless for nearly a decade and now I am better off than the average person. I still don't have any desire to buy worthless garbage like a Rolex.
When cellphone/PC repair shops replace specialized watchmakers and the guy getting paid 12$/hr tells you everything in your galaxy watch 8 is proprietary even though best buy told you otherwise I hope the 800$ was worth it.
>you have to give a chunk of your capital to some old rich israelite in exchange for a useless showoff piece for other weebs on basket forum instead of making it grow to work for you
hehe i bet you also spend money on diamonds
If you're poor just buy a Seiko, a Citizen or whatever is not trying to copy the Rolex GMT Master like the piece of shit pagani design you're wearing. That thing is pathetic and until you wear it you are pathetic yourself.
Based.
Seiko 5 is peak watch
<$300 for a watch that will never need ANYTHING but a place on your wrist.
Or you could spend $4000+ to look like a Persian or old white man.
I have five different seiko 5 automatic which I paid less than $1k for all of them. Though I must admit I mostly only use the snxs77 one. They haven't really got collectors' value, but they're neat and look way better than they cost.
I got mine for £800 in really good nick. They vary in price depending on condition and where you get them from for around 700-1200. When I was looking for a birth year watch, the 7A28 popped up and I only buy military watches, so it was a no brainer. The condition of some I found were horrific though. As the article states, these were military issue and not particular rare in terms of being military issue. So they were treated like just any other piece of issued kit by the service people at the time. The one in the article is 0317/84. Mine is 0377/84.
It's actually cheap for an official limited number, military issued watch. I was lucky to find mine in a vintage shop and I don't think they realised what they had, since the condition it's in I could easily sell it for at least a grand or more. This is one watch I'll never get rid of though. Because it's issue year is my birth year and it's an officially issued military watch, which is what I collect. I don't have any interest in any other types of watches. People ask me "wouldn't you like a Rolex" and I'm not against Rolex for all the reasons everyone else is. They just don't interest me unless they've got military history and were officially issued. So the only actual Rolex that interests me is the Rolex 5517 with 0552 designation. And I hate dive watches.
>notorious for not being able to keep time properly
I mean, as far as mechs go, Rolex is pretty fucking good. A consistent +/- 6 seconds a day is about the best you're going to get from a mechanical watch.
Watches are israeliteelry and israeliteelry is a women thing.
This. Outward displays of wealth signal insecurity to those in the know.
Only poors are impressed by luxury brands.
What if it’s an internal display? Like you do it for you cause you came from poor and now are not . Similar to tattoo
That just sounds like you feel insecure about yourself, even worse than others perceiving insecurity in you
Tattoos are a signal of deviancy. Are you a criminal?

the future is now old man

subpar/mediocre show off mediocre achievements, because to them it is a big deal
Rolex is gay. The only people who respect Rolex owners are other Rolex owners

Seiko is reddit-core which is a million times worse.

The scratches actually look okay on it.
What's the msrp on that one?

That's pricey, but nowhere near a salvaged rolex case filled with fake poojeet guts.

>good evening fellow serfs
Btw friends, absolutely do not buy anything Rolex on Ebay. It's 98% fake Indian bullshit.
casio A158W

Yes, I would love to overspend on a watch which is notorious for not being able to keep time properly.

Sounds like a failed form of technology
