Was the middle east whiter looking prior to the arab and mongol conquests?

Was the middle east whiter looking prior to the arab and mongol conquests? Im aware pic related arent identical to europeans but they have a lot of overlap with ancient peoples (Indo Europeans, West Siberian Hunter-Gatherers) and since they now live only in isolated mountain corridors its likely they were more common in Central and South Asia prior to major population shifts and the mountaineers are the remnants who stayed the same

Those are not middle easterners, they are central asian, a completely different place.
Central Asia was always white and indoeuropean speaking, until it stopped being so, not because of Arabs, but because of Turks. Turks conquered those places, imposed their language, and created a new mixed race like what the Spaniards did in the Americas.
The Russian conquest of Central Asia was kinda like going back to what it was before the Turks, but sadly when it happened the state of civilization prevented Russians from killing the men and raping the women.

Middle Easterners (the people of Mesopotamia, the Levant, the Zagros mountains, the Taurus mountains, the mountains of Armenia) have never been white, and there are many populations still existing there identical to the populations that existed before the islamic conquest, all the Christian minorities from Copts, to Assyrian Christians, to Armenians. The Samaritans, the Yezidis and the Mandaeans. They have been endogamic since the Islamic conquest, only marrying between themselves. And Samaritans are so inbred they have been forced to accept converts, to get rid of genetic problems in the new generations.

Middle East was always brown. Central Asia was white or at least whiter mixed with brown Iranians but then turco Mongol conquests lead to what was effectively a population replacement.

No, it had nothing to do with Turko-Mongol "conquest". The Ashina tribe, the ruling elite tribe of the First Turkic Khaganate, was blue eyed and red haired with Caucasoid features. Many other central Asian Turks were like that (such as Kirghiz). They had Indo-European paternal haplogroups, but Turkic maternal haplogroups. Turkics got bleached by IE men.

What part of “the Middle East”? It was a big non-homogenous place, and it still is. I don’t know why anyone would expect people living on the same latitude as Arabia to have lighter skin than Arabs. As you go north it becomes more like southern europe

We have these stupid threads almost every day. There is this bizarre obsession with whiteness among certain Central and South Asian populations that despite being 90% brown Google shows mostly pictures of blond and blue haired children if you type Kalash or Yaghnobis. Naturally blond hair darken with age, so the same kids will not be very white looking when they grow up, but who cares.

And no OP. No one today overlaps with WSHG. At best you will find populations that overlap with Iron Age and historical (pre-Turko-Mongol expansion) Indo-Iranian groups who were already mixed.

This thread is stupid. Central Asia didn't become less "white" looking due to Turks "conquering" anything. Many of the original Central Asiatic Turks were described as white-looking.

In fact, the first Turkic state was described as having men with blue eyes and red hair, and were Indo European by descent. It happened as a result of Indo European MEN marrying Turkic and Chinese women, not the other way around. That's why the dominant haplogrouo among Turks (inckuding the Ashina) was R1a, which was from "Scythian" like people. So basically the Indo Europeans ditched their own women for Asian women, creating the historical Turk states.
