The FDA and globohomo are looking to ban all products containing phenylephrine because they say it doesn't work. Just in time for the flu season.
Stock up while you can.

>Just in time for the flu season
every single time
Good to know it wasn't just me.
All it did was dry out my sinuses so they weren't runny anymore, but it would then get all dry-stuffy.
I hate encouraging people to take this nasty shit, but it would still be useful to keep some on hand JUST IN CASE, you know? Natural remedies will always trump this shit.
Just use tiger balm, has always been more effective than a nose spray for me.
That and eucalyptus oil. Tea tree oil is great for wounds/bacteria infections
it doesnt work but, pseudoephedrine/meth works
what are they gonna use btw?
>t. meth cook
those are literally some of the best medicine for the flu WTF i love the orange Alka-Seltzer it literally heals me, im gonna buy a shitton of it tomorrow
Good job, FDA.
I've read the studies and phenylephrine is clearly snake oil.
It's also used in over the counter sleeping pills, and it does work for that, just makes waking up the next morning difficult. Are they going to ban it for that as well.
> FDA approves new vaccine for insomnia, tested on 3 rats.
> Only two of the rats died, but they had a damn good sleep the night before.
The consensus of the last thread is that the FDA is correct. The government made them put the real products behind the pharmacy shelf so you have to ask for it because you can make meth using it and the companies made all these with a different active ingredient that doesn't work. You should ask for the real product
They haven't actually removed the non-working product though
What's the real product? Enlighten us.
The original formulations that use pseudoephedrine that you have to ask the pharmacist to hand you is the real kind that actually works

The FDA assembled its outside advisers to take another look at phenylephrine, which became the main drug in over-the-counter decongestants when medicines with an older ingredient — pseudoephedrine — were moved behind pharmacy counters. A 2006 law had forced the move because pseudoephedrine can be illegally processed into methamphetamine.
Those original versions of Sudafed and other medicines remain available without a prescription, but they’re less popular and account for about one-fifth of the $2.2 billion market for oral decongestants. Phenylephrine versions — sometimes labeled “PE” on packaging — make up the rest.

As long as I can down a half bottle of NyQuil before work when I'm sick, Idk.
>"oh no, covid is still a thing!"
>"good thing we have new approved covid vaccines for you!"
>"cold medicine? decongestants? those don't work, don't use those. in fact let's pull them from the shelves for your own good"
phenylephrine is and always was shit. garbage tier and never worked, which is why it was never used. UNTIL meth heads started the ye ole shake and bake using pseudoephedrine, so they banned it. now pseudoephedrine used to fucking work. it was king and it should be brought back.
>benadryl banned
Hatman bros...
Diphenhydramine is still in Benadryl, that was one hell of a summer in 2011 doing that shit I still have nightmares from what I saw.
this isn't going to fix a vaxxie's shattered immune system
Why is the gov ok with everyone getting hooked on opioids and fent but meth is le bad?
When I was addicted to Adderall in college, I would actually do shit and stay awake and got into /x/ tier conspiracies, while fent and heroin junkies just puke themselves and nod out. I guess downers addicts are easier to manage. By the way, meth and cocaine are schedule 2 and can be had with a prescription in certain cases.
The real question is why psychedelics are as illegal. Those got me to get my shit together and be a better person and you only do them a handful of times a year if that even if you enjoy it a lot. It's a non addictive drug that doesn't quite make you escape from reality so much as pull the veil off it
The Obama Administration did the same thing with hand sanitizer prior to Covid.
Just like with ivermectin right before covid, looks like I know where they are headed.
if you need any of that shit to get through a cold or flu youve already lost, training your body to need their medications instead of letting your body do what it does and fight shit itself
Also this kinda. The most ill take if i have a cold/flu is any kind of NSAID (ibuprofen or naproxen) for fever reduction. Otherwise raw honey helps with coughs and homemade chicken soup is enough for me. I also can count on one hand ive been sick like tgat since I was 18 and im 32. I see people around me eat that, and especially allergy meds, like candy
My only question is why aren't these tests performed on these chemicals beforehand? Seems kind of strange that it's taken them this long to figure out that it's bullshit. Makes me wonder what else they've approved for human consumption without ever bothering to test.
Looks like I smell a perfect investment opportunity stock up now because in the near future a box of Sudafed may very well go for $150 to $300
I bought 3500 Benadryl Allergy Plus pills, the FDA can fucking suck it.
>Restrict product that works well (Pseudoephedrine)
>Replace with product that does nothing at all (Phenylephrine)
>After 15 years finally admit the new product is worthless.
>No one believes you because you killed a million old fart Americans to increase Big Pharma's profits.
Many such cases.
It doesn’t work. They need to go back to pseudoephedrine. That works well.
