I just always get a sense that these TV executive Hollywood fucks will always smile in our faces about wrestling but as soon as they leave the room, you know they're like, "Can you believe people like this retarded hick shit? Fucking hell, what a bunch of losers." Vince is the only one who has penetrated that world and gotten their respect as a businessman, who has risen above the reputation of pro-wrestling.
But the price is too high for that. I would rather wrestling be seen as a joke to Hollywood homosexuals and keep wrestling wrestling than let it become some PG, pasteurized piece of shit. Fuck Hollyhomosexuals, fuck Vince, and fuck the WWE.
All they care about is money and even without a milly AEW pulling in the top 3-5 consistently with Dynamite is good enough.
>"Can you believe people like this retarded hick shit?
anon do you even know what's on TV nowadays?

You probably also think your friends are like this too
I agree with everything but the vince thing.
He's made himself a billionaire. He bought his ticket to the upper crust crowd. You can bet your ass the TV executives kiss his ass now, they're all whores for money like everyone else in showbusiness.
Yeah but when he leaves the room they say "Can you believe people like this retarded hick shit? Fucking hell, what a bunch of losers."
Nah, once you're a billionaire, people like this will throw themselves at you pussy first. He's not just a billionaire, he also has a multi billion dollar company that often rotates in executives from other business to its board room for a very easy, very well paid gig. He's a potential employer for them so they'll suck his cock and gargle his cum after he leaves the room now.
Okay but by that logic, so is Khan.
>Vince is the only one who has penetrated that world and gotten their respect as a businessman
He's still a complete joke, especially after XFL failed twice.
Nick Khan is the guy who carnied his way into getting respect and bigger tv deals
>their respect as a businessman
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Everyone thinks Vince is a stupid carny dude, why do you think the only people interested in XFL was Rock?
kek. This. He knows it, too. That's why he treats the "pro wrestling" with such disdain. Like a low class bum who wins the jackpot, thinks rich high society people will finally accept him, then finds out they still treat him like a bum due to how he got the money.
>Everyone thinks Vince is a stupid carny dude
right... record profits
>Can you believe people like this retarded hick shit? Fucking hell, what a bunch of losers
They think that about all tv viewers
>"Can you believe people like this retarded hick shit? Fucking hell, what a bunch of losers”
As long as people are tuning into their network, they dont give a single fuck who it is watching. Everyone is just a statistic at the end of the day to them.

Beautiful words my good sir. I pledge allegiance to you, the Fuhrer and the Third Reich of pro wrestling.
Comcast is one of Warner’s biggest competitors. Comcast has wrestling so maybe they want it too? Hell, even OVW is getting a Netflix deal.

AEW was part of another sports package they aired. This dude got BTFO all morning for missing parts of the event
they didnt have any sports people there. sports and other shows have two separate ad divisions.
AEW wasn't featured much during the Upfronts (where advertising is sold for programming "upfront") because all of the advertising slots for AEW were already sold out.

AEW is doing fine. Their ratings haven’t grown since the debut, and their core audience has gotten older, but overall it’s a worthwhile tv property with an average viewership under 50.
>Sources within AEW tell me that everything is great, and it's not at all PR spin

The guy has sources at TV networks like NBC and Warner. He’s the first one that broke NXT moving to Tuesdays and the exact date it was goingbto happen.
Damn. I just want AEW, WWE, GCW, NJPW, NOAH, DDT, CMLL, AAA and all the rest to die. Is it so much to ask?
Joshipedos need to hang
I don't know how AEW fits into this wider merger for WB. They are going to have a very strange catalog with Discovery and HBO coming together. But the thing that isn't talked about is that things "work" now because Tony foots the bill for most if not all this shit. WB doesn't pay for anything other than the TV contract and that is great for them. The problem is that TV contract could not sustain AEW's budget if it weren't for Shadi Kahn's bank account paying for shit, including the roster. That is not a business model for anything. You can not like WWE and their cost cutting moves, or the way they handle talent etc. But that company is solvent and profitable. It has a business model that works and can support itself. WWE's TV contracts total $2 billion alone in the US and that doesnt take into account merch, international licensing etc. They can afford their roster and marketing and production. Tony is 3 years in and has yet to have a business that supports itself. That breaks fucking even. And no you do not need Tony's books to know this. If you think the TV deals or PPV's pay for even the roster itself you are delusional. A business that isn't profitable doesnt stay in business.

didnt read
still not watching wwe
Jesus how much do you think Moxley costs, 20 million? They make about 50 milly a year from the Warner deal and make millions more from live gates and merchandising. Payroll is *probably* about 15-20 million tops (a ton of the low-card guys are on PPA deals). Even if they used Tuscan Cotton for their shitty graphic tees total cost of operation for AEW would be around 40-50 million a year, at the absolute tippy-top of the scale (assuming generous salaries for executive staff, etc). they're at least breaking even yearly, if not in the black.

Again you guys have no idea what goes into any sort of business let alone a major production like this. The roster alone is not even covered by their current TV deal as Khan continues to sign more and more talent and is not giving them cheap deals. No one is going to AEW to make less money, and Khan is not offering less money. But lets be stupid like you and argue the TV deal does cover their roster. great. They still dont break even. There is additional staff in terms of production, marketing, and logistics that aren't covered. I know for a simp like you believe that is either not expensive, its done by one person, or they are so happy to be at AEW they do it for free. But you're wrong. Those elements are necessary and expensive and they come out of Shad's pocket. Not the Tv deals or Tony. Not ticket sales either as you guys like to cope and think happens. We haven't taken into account the purchases of ROH, the AEW videogame, or the amount paid to NJPW for talent use and the PPV, because those things make the majority of you go into full on "REEEE" protection mode, where you simultaneously argue they didn't cost that much and also that Tony has all the money in the world. tldr: The company is not self sustaining beyond Shad's wallet.
didnt read lol
Anon, AEW made over 10M on Double and Nothing and the LA debut. Its enough money to pay at least 3 ex WWE. And that's on 2 shows. They are fine with what Warner is paying right now.
kek based
But <1m?
Sounds like Warner is as clueless as NBC and FOX if true. Wrestling will just continue losing interest until it is like roller derby because it is never going to change. You might have a chance to bring it up-to-date when Vince dies but who knows when that will be. Only good thing about AEW is that it is cheap because Tony Khan is the one taking on all the debt.
Given how this tends to go, I'm expecting "the future of AEW on Warner/Discovery is up in the air" next week because they're certainly getting this "info" from Khan and not anybody working for Warner.
