You don't need to drink water unless you you run two miles a day or make 20-mile bike rides. You are just pissing out all the minerals, if you drink a gallon of water without a reason. Just drink a pint in the morning when you take your vitamins. That's enough.
I drink too much, have sleep apnea, work construction so body is always in pain, so cant really help too much, but I found that taking a multivitamin before bed helps me to have deep sleep and dreams.

do not take caffeine in the first hour after you wake up. do not take caffeine in the mid afternoon. reduce your sugar intake. get sunlight. go for a walk every day.
