>"WAAH WAHH I DONT WANNA PULL THE DASH ON CHEVY TRUCK IT SCARY WAHH"
Is this really the state of modern day mechanics? I've helped my dad pull the dash on his 03 silverado when the blend door went bad back at 140k miles and once i got the truck I pulled it again for speaker wiring and the AC condenser. its not that hard not to break the plastic if you're careful and aren't a moron and just yank shit out. and if you do frick up a piece? they're dirt cheap and easy to find at a pick and pull.

this guy has a manlet Ferrari tech working for him that refuses to pull the dash for frick sake, how does he deal with such entitled techs? I bet i could pay the nice mexican shop in town to do it for half the price he would charge and they'd still manage to do a better job at it because they wouldn't be treating it like bomb defusal.

Lol, I know people with GM products that are driving around with the dashboards in various states of disassembly and re-assembly.

    why watch his videos?
what the absolute frick is compelling you to click on that moronic fricks thumbnail so goddamn hard that you can't look away?
and not only did you watch the video, you've now gone out of your way to make a thread and probably given him a handful more views

here's some life advice you seem to sorely need
if some piece of media makes you angry, frustrated, or sad and you no longer wish to feel these emotions simply stop viewing that media and seek other media that doesn't make you feel those emotions
posting to forums or social media doesn't help anybody or anything except giving more attention to the thing you apparently don't like

Why is this homosexual type of projection so common on the internet, especially DA.

It's because he wants other people to hate *thing*

It's not enough to simply ignore that which he doesn't enjoy. Nobody else should be allowed to enjoy it either.

This is the reason for why US politics is the way it is.

Pulling a dash is probably the most pita job to do on 99% of vehicles.

Everyone said this but it really wasn't that bad pulling the dash on my XJ8. They were all telling me it's a 12 hour job and blah blah blah. I had the expansion valve replaced and the dash back together in 4 hours. Mechanics are full of shit.

    >Is this really the state of modern day mechanics?
No thats just American mechanics, I've noticed burger mechanics like to sperg out and blame the manufacturers for making everything "too complicated" instead of blaming themselves for their lack of skills, according to American mechanics everything should be made as simple as a lawn mower, i've never seen any other mechanic from other countries b***h about cars as much as american ones do

You can b***h about the state of modern men or you can screenshot youtube videos but you can't do both.

The factor you're not considering is that they're paid flat rate, so they're gonna get paid 5 hours to pull that dash when it's gonna take at least double that being extremely careful not to break a frickload of 23 year old brittle ass plastic pieces, and you'll still most likely break something. Part of being a good tech is knowing to not let yourself get screwed over.

This is why I despise flat rate. It makes you think you're gonna get way more money by becoming skilled and learning short-cuts but then you get jobs there it's listed as 2-3 hours but actually translates to 6-8, or you get a customer that brings in a job that rates to 1.5 horus but they completely fricked it up and now it's a 5-7 hour job and if you bring it up, they just start screaming "I DIDN'T DO NUFFIN, YOU MESSED UP MAH CAH" and either you take the dick in the ass or you pay more than what the job is worth in legal fees. I much prefer Hybrid where I get paid per hour and like, 30% of labor per job, because you at least get steady pay with potential for high pay when you get good, but if you get a PITA, you're not working for free.

I only pulled a dash once. It was a 2001 f150 with a leaky evaporator. My brother and I went at it for an entire weekend but it came apart and went back together surprisingly with no squeaks. Ac worked too, couldn't have been more happy with it
