Terribly generic band and album. You must be a millennial, of course you don't know any better. Everything done on that album had already been done ad nauseum, by previous and better bands. I couldn't believe people actually thought this garbage was good.
A genre can't be resurrected off of "revivals" and rehashes of the same thing. It's beating a dead corpse. This album and band are nowhere near the level of 20th century bands. Keep lying to yourself kid.
>Everything done on that album had already been done ad nauseum,
no one did it so tastefully and cool sounding or with such energy and punch. it perfectly emulates and mixes zeppelin, sabbath and purple to become it's own identifiable thing. why wouldn't you want more of a great thing anyway?
>tastefully >cool sounding >energy and punch
Sounds like something someone who grew up in a time of shit music would say. There were far better bands in the past who made tasteful, cool sounding albums with "energy" and "punch". Wolfmother is nothing but generic radio hard rock for kids who missed out on the actual era of good rock music. They're like the Great Value brand of hard rock.
Wolfmother is the only few true rock albums since the 70's. better than any other rock attempt of the 80's 90's or 00's.
>is the only few true rock albums since the 70's.
Not even close. It's a parody of hard rock. Polished and packaged for the Rock Band/Guitar Hero generation. >better than any other rock attempt of the 80's 90's or 00's.
So many 80s and early 90s bands absolutely obliterate this pathetic excuse for a hard rock band.
"I'm doing a record of 60s Italian music with an orchestra that I'm really psyched about" >5 seconds later... >wolfmother plays in the background >"WHAT YEAR ARE WE IN!?"
I love how after the Strokes every big publication that circlejerked over them thought it would the start of some new punk movement and then it just wasn't.
How are zoomers so fucking unaware of even the recent history of their interests, and instead of admitting to ignorance they post as if the history they made up in their head is true
these guys were alright. they had a good chunk of melodic tunes that often get overlooked because of their more rock based tracks. even their ms jackson cover was decent.
debut album was mostly great, follow up was probably too harshly panned (P4K review now nuked from the internet called him a 'munter', back before P4K reviewed Ariana Grande albums). nothing particularly original and was more Britpop than anything else, band was killed by the horrid NME hype, predictable backlash, Craig having mental problems and being a terrible live band.
How did that one work out?
that guy made the exact same "look im high" face in every picture he took back then.
IM GONNA GET FREEEEEEEEEEEE
I wanna cum on him
That dude definitely had the autism.
Vines were such dogshit like Jet.
that era of rock really was something, so many tried and failed. i loveed this song tho
singer getting beat up by jack white is what they're most known for kek

I have stollsteimers big muff.
rock was definitely not "back". it was dead and buried. never to be resurrected .
>never to be resurrected
except that time in 2006 when it was

fuck off scaruffi
Whatever, I'm right. You millennials have rose-tinted glasses on for rehashed garbage. Meanwhile, you can't make anything of your own, ha!

If it doesn't sound like Discharge, I don't want it.
What is that cover trying to communicate? Also the strokes and white stripes eclipsed everything else in this magazine

english please
turns out growing up with social media streaming in your face 24/7 leaves you retarded in the brain
apparently they're illiterate too
One of the worst bands ever.

first two autumn shades are the best
Aw, the "The" bands of the early 00s. Amusing that RS boomers were actually excited about the fucking Vines.
DON'T LISTEN TO THE RADIO
searching for the vines on youtube is really hard.
Yeah, no shit.
Bad vibes. Brings back childhood memories of family barbeques.
Rolling Stone always promotes terrible bands whenever they aren’t sucking off Bruce Springsteen.
what's the difference between these turds and the Strokes
The Hives mog all the other bands there
what's the difference between these turds and the Hives
Watch any show and see for yourself
the Hives rock
I didn't want it to be true but their last is probably my favorite 2023 rock album
>The Vines
>The Hives
>The Strokes
>The Killers
>The Sums
