Looking to start a vending machine business. Currently work for a vending machine business as an installer. Anyone here that has good experience willing to give a young buck some advice and maybe give some help? Been doing a lot of research about it for weeks, end of week starting to call up locations to find one and right after finding one want to purchase a snack and pop machine from a warehouse near me.
>Currently work for a vending machine business as an installer.
you're literally an insider, why don't you ask around?
People around me don't know much about it on the business aspect other than...install them. I don't want to talk about it to any of my management people not sure how it would go. Best case scenario to get help from my company would be to talk to the technician/mechanics of these machines who have a lot of hands on experience with most types machines, but thats just how to fix a machine and the parts it had/needs. Thats an easy part to figure out.
>I don't want to talk about it to any of my management people not sure how it would go.
so you're denying yourself the only edge you have in a highly competitive market? born2wage
Bro they dont want to tell because they know that they could lose the repair guy. Thats bad for their business.
If you have even a small bit of good rapport with the management, they will have no issue giving you some advice. Since you’re posting here, chances are you’re an autistic retard with no social skills. In that case, just jump in if an opportunity pops up. You will learn so much by just trying. Starting a business will be infinitely more valuable to you than continuing to wage.
My company recently started using a new vending machine company in our breakroom and to be honest, it sucks just as much as the last one. That being said, I am incredibly picky when it comes to eating and refuse to eat the trash that is stocked in the machine. But these new guys are open to suggestions on what is sold, and provide a support line, since they are profiting off each sale. That's all I have to say on the topic.

That being said, have you considered finding a replacement and asking your boss to let you manage another one "for him"
Replacement should obviously be a bro that should profit aswell otherwise he might fuck you over lol
Zoomers are the main consumer of this type of machines, I have seen that they buy cigarette papers there but in the last days i think they go directly to the supermarket or to a store of asians or pajeets (at least in Europe)
Don’t do it OP, YouTubers have ruined it you’ll get associated with non-white grifters.
Are you disabled? Or a protected class? The best places to set up shop are on government property (schools, prisons, etc.). But, those get bid out, and are by law required to be given to disabled or underprivileged business owners.
You missed the boat. Good luck competing with the guy who's missing one finger and has been doing this in the county for the past 20 years.
>assuming OP is not disabled

Tape a piece of paper with a QR code on the front of it, so people can add suggestions. I'd buy more things from the vending machine at work if it had variety, but it's just full of soda and candy bars.
I ran the numbers. Margins are razor thin. But hey you seem more qualified and knowledgeable on the topic and you are able to do reparations and installation yourself. Go for it.
as long as there aren't naggers around it's a good business 15 years ago
The tricky part is finding locations unless you have inside connections.
You have to find some place with enough foot traffic that will drive enough of a profit margin to not only pay yourself a decent wage, but also give a percentage to the owner of the property (no one is going to allow you to install vending machines on their property for free).
Then once you find these locations, you are going to have to convince them why it's better to hire you versus just having them buy their own machine and keeping all the profits. So better hope you find some lazy or busy business owners.
