Why would they be at a disadvantage here? The USSR and Britain depended on American lend lease. Further the A-bomb proved useful against warships, meaning the US would rapidly diminish the British navy and achieve control over global trade.
Even if by chance the USSR, Britain and France set up an impromptu alliance and managed to develop their first atom bomb within a year while enduring America's conventional forces plus atom bombs raining down on them, there were no ICBMs to deliver them to US soil and they'd only be producing 1 or 2 a month as the US had been to begin with. The rest of the world would put up a level of resistance as a bargaining chip, but they're not going to stubbornly resist at all costs. Some Latin American dictator struggling to stay in power would find support from the US in exchange for continuing trade.
In time US forces would be amply equipped with the new upcoming technology of the 1950s while their enemies struggle to maintain basic air cover and tank formations (which may well be the target of American A bombs). More likely the war would end much sooner. The US would end up the sole superpower, its only opponents stubborn guerrillas struggling against its patsies.

The most likely outcome of a Western Allies vs USSR war would have been the world being split along the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, with the US ruling the Americas and various islands and the USSR ruling Eurasia.

well for one nobody in the US wanted another major war, especially one were the US would be the aggressor, that and there was not really enough of a stockpile to effectively wipe out the USSR much less take over the world so you will have to deal with an ungodly amount of enemy combat veterans while those nukes were going on, that and since you had to deliver them by air, you also run the risk of loosing a very important military asset without being used that also took some time to create, so in other words it would be a fools journey that nobody wanted that everybody knew would not be possible
