Uploaded Intelligence

How far away are we from Uploaded Intelligence?

If Uploaded Intelligence won't become a thing within our lifetime how do i make myself believe

Just went into a pit of nihilism & became jealous of those who have faith, to truly believe & Know in your heart that a GOD/GODS a afterlife is exist must feel fucking amazing
> i HOW DO I BELIEVE tried to become a Christian then a pig fucker but my mind just won't accept that those operating system

Those 2 concerns are very related. When you resolve the later (knowing there is something more to life) then the former is also resolved (because you'll see that "intelligence" is not what you are in the first place).

My advice to those who can't see past materialism is always to look deeper at consciousness.
You've always been taught that your perception of, for example, the color red can be explained scientifically. But can it really?

It's always swept under the rug by saying it's "an emergent phenomenon" or "an illusion"... But the problem here is that you should be able to explain HOW it emerges, and it should also be possible to describe what an illusion is like.
NEITHER of those hold up against consciousness. Nobody can explain how it emerges, nor can they even describe what the illusion is like in the first place.
That is a massive red flag that what you're actually dealing with is something which simply cannot be reduced down to anything else you already know. The reason it can't be described/defined within a materialist paradigm is because it's not made of material.

Isn't it funny how people struggle so much to understand how to reduce consciousness down to material, yet even a child can understand how to reduce material down to consciousness. Shouldn't that be telling you something? That consciousness is actually more fundamental, and the entire scientific view is inverted?
It's not surprising really, because even science is ultimately based on observation and yet claims to not begin from observation but from material instead (meaning they throw away the 1st observation which is observation itself; consciousness).
"Matter" has always been a theory of consciousness. And there's literally not 1 single thing you've ever known in your entire life apart from consciousness.

      A) I am nothing of a professtional but I'm 99% sure mind uploading (essentially copying the file of your consciousness), doesn't magically transfer your consciousness into the digital copied placeholder of your consciousness. That is to say, if you rely on mind uploading to save you you will die and a hollow mimic will "live" on (again, as far as I know). WHat you wanna put bigger bets on is extending our organic life indefinitely. There's various ways this possibility could theoretically be done, but a particularly interesting one I've heard is nanobots that repair you on a genetic and neuronic level. That, or altering your body's DNA and self-repairing functions such that, given ample resources, can keep perfect and indefinite maintenance on itself. So hopefully this gives you hope, and hopefully you have a better idea of where to start in this pursuit of immortality. Godspeed, Anon.

So far that I believe in this lifetime it is possible, with a little "creative push" if you will. Though this guy is very much on point . It's a big assumption that you can just "upload" yourself or transfer and that there isn't any hard coded prevention's for that because if anything, personal consciousness is THE least researched field out there, otherwise we wouldn't have trannies running everywhere around.

It's a gamble that is all it is, if you willing to bet that it is possible and anticipated as much as you could in that regard hoping it would succeed. Extension of your biological life is nothing more than a cope out, which life it self is already in the process of doing.

The internet is proof that we are able to build an artificial consciousness. All data and all memories are shared in the cloud. Any machine connected to this cloud is able to fetch whatever data whenever it wants from it.
Through this cloud we can also remotely communicate. We are only restricted by the speed we type our messages in, but the machines send this info to the receiver almost instantaneously.
Internet of Things is the collective unconscious of the machines. The machines are able to interact with each other without the need for an external command prompt (i.e. a human telling the machine to notice another machine or transmit data to it). Botnet might sound like a familiar concept.
The transhumanists are building this same collective unconscious for humans - the Internet of Bodies. The usual suspects are to blame.

        What

Ok so what I'm hearing is what I said is dumb because you'd rather do the exact thing I expressed genuine and reasonable doubt in. You do get that what you are desiring (conscious simulations) don't require mind uploading, right? Hell, this might even be possible *while* you're working. That, or your brain could be altered such that you get all the reward and more from the task you otherwise would have been disinterested in. Also, if you're looking for a dream mind upload because you want the *extended* escape, manual time dilation (making time feel waaay faster or waaay slower) can still be possible with this brain-altering technology, awake or not. Hope this clears things up.

    >became jealous of those who have faith, to truly believe & Know in your heart that a GOD/GODS a afterlife is exist must feel fucking amazing
They're just guessing though. Guessing then believing their guesses are correct. It's the same thing gamblers do, they "know" they're going to win big if they just keep betting. With the evidence we have about an afterlife, which isn't much, at best we can say maybe it exists

but that guess make them feel AMAZING & whole while i feel EMPTY

just finish watching this & felt a LITTLE HOPE but they feel that hope their whole life even though its a guess

There's a difference between feigning true belief and truly believing. It sounds like you try really hard to believe, but simply don't. I don't blame you, but understand that most who claim to "truly believe" would cower in fear if their life was threatened. As far as I can understand it, this reaction would not happen in nearly as much severity if they truly believed they were just levelling up for eternity upon death. This is all to say, you're really not alone in this critical question of belief, and you don't have to feel alienated and wrong because of the feeling. However, if you want this whole believing in a religion/spirituality/whatnot to work you really have to BELIEVE in it. I'm not sure how you would go about this (especially because you seem like a pretty rational and logical thinker), but it all begins with a spirit and love for the belief and feeling the spirit and love which it gives you. Read around; look into Christianity, Buddhishm, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Paganism, Gnosticism, anything. Even something not so solidified in a "religious doctrine" sense, but maybe just listening to Terence McKenna and Alan Watts talks will do it for you lol. Best of luck, friend, and happy travels through life.

    >How far away are we from Uploaded Intelligence?
Well we scarcely understand how the brain works, can barely even interface with it using a computer, and can not replicate consciousness. Would probably have to emulate the entire physical structure of the human brain to upload it. We are far enough away that we can't even speculate on how far we are from many of the underlying technologies that would be needed.

"Covid" was the catalyst for the IoB. It was all planned from the get-go and the vaccine was always the reason for this event. The vaccine is known to contain nanographeneoxide (NGO), which is able to interact with electromagnetic fields (EMF). Just type those two words into Scholar and you'll find quite a lot of papers about it. Remember when the 5G and microchip "conspiracies" first surfaced? It was the earlier days of the pandemic, before April 2020 iirc. This is all planned by them. They want to ridicule the whole concept with over blown lies (i.e. there is an physical chip in the vaxx, 5G causes covid etc.) in order to discredit the whole premise. But there is also a pinch of truth in every lie.
The NGO is the chip which can be manipulated with correct 5G frequencies. Reddits favorite - Elon Musk - is building the 5G satellite network, which will cover the entirety of the world, no blind spots. The bi-yearly boosters are to ensure that you don't get overblown effects by too much NGO injected in a short span. It needs to settle to different organs, but most importantly the brain.

There are two ways to make a AI "copy" of someone. The first is that you give them a bunch of inputs and then record the outputs - for example, you ask them a bunch of questions and see how they answer. The AI then ingests this data and builds a model of how that person is most likely to respond to future situations given their past questions. The more data you give it, the more accurate it will be. This, however, is not a true copy, but it's likely indistinguishable from the real person for all intents and purposes. This technology is already feasible and there are many agencies working on mastering this.

The second way is you actually scan the person's brain down to every single neuron and build a digital model of it. That technology is so advanced relative to what we currently have that it's basically magic. Musk and several others are working on this though; it's the MKULTRA of our time.

To answer your question OP - these are replicas, not the original. I don't believe you could upload yourself to the cloud, only a copy of yourself.

Also what anime is the original image from? Matrix?

If you were to have your consciousness slowly transferred (painlessly) while awake to a digital realm slowly enough then at no point would your consciousness be erased and replaced with a replica. You would temporarily be both aware of your digital self and physical self before completing a transfer (although your physical self would have to be continually erased and parts replaced by the digital self at a rate)
Theoretically this would get past the conundrum of whether or not yourself would truly be "you"
