All of the territory it holds was taken in the first days of the war, before significant western assistance arrived. Since that initial assault it has literally only lost. The only gains they've made are in Bakhmut (after months of fighting) while they've lost half of everything else.

Ukraine has not taken any territory back by actually fighting, only because the Russians deemed those territories of less stategical value and possible waste of resources to try and hold or continue pushing.

It doesn't really matter if your enemy dies or surrenders, as long as you get what you want. Ukraine made those positions untenable for the Russians, and they left. That's a win.
Sure, but they are incapable of an actual counteroffensive. Russians weren't dug in before, so they retreated. They are now. It would be complete and absolute retardation to try and attack now. Kherson was also telegraphed for literally months in advance. It turned out to still yield Ukrainian gains especially when the Russians realized they needed to pull out of the north.
Russia has a smaller and easier to defend front now, but Ukraine has main battle tanks and IFVs building up as we speak and Russia continues to have logistics problems. I'll wait and see what happens.
