Trataka

I have concluded that if you want the opposite of the npc stare, you need to practice trataka. I have been gazing into a candle for 10-20 minutes each day in the dark for the past few weeks and my eyes look much better, they have more depth and my dark circles have been reduced. My vision has noticeably improved, brain fog has disappeared, OCD symptoms greatly reduced, more productive, more energy, ambition and willpower. All this without even mentioning any siddhis.

    Good stuff OP.

Do you gaze at the sun as well? Or the moon? I am sitting beneath the moon right now as I type this.

Also have a look at this http://naturalpeople.wiki/simple_insights/

need friends to share good stuff with 😀

I would gaze at the sun at dawn but usually the weather doesn't allow it. Moon gazing sounds interesting though and i might try it soon. Is there anything wildly different about moon gazing, like the effects and whatnot?

I listen to the sounds of various insects, of dog barking, and so on and also listen to feelings while I sit and gaze the moon. I feel a tingly feeling in my neck. Many many insights and ideas seem to come but I have learned to not invest thinking-energy into them but thinking happens on it's own. It is really beautiful friend. Beauty teaches us. Forget all the books and talking.

Satyam, Shubham, Sundaram. This quote somehow occured to me yesterday. Obviously I have heard the phrase before but it actually had a deeper meaning when it bubbled up to my awareness.

While living, am I really living in accordance to that beauty? I must ask this all the "time" and if it is not beautiful, why am I doing it? To fulfil some obligation I have with fake society? Can I drop it? If these tratakas have no effect on my daily living then it simply becomes "power seeking" efforts. One must be aware of that too.

By the way solving captcha very hard, even with all the gazing practices ahahahaha.

Living in accordance to what is beautiful is good in my opinion, because wha tis beautiful is usually good, and good things are always beautiful in some way.

Yes, all art comes from beauty. This society is totally fake so all art is also fake. They are concerned with marketing their art with money and influence while true art should need no such thing. Isn't it disgusting I have to look at TWO ads in youtube to watch any video?
Also take care of your diet OP, sugar and synthetic foods of modern society (dependent of petroleum products from food production, to transport to packaging). Dark circles beneath eyes may be due to sugary nonsense me feels.

Take care and feel alone. No friends or family is going to help in this crucial work I have learned.

Sungazing is legit it's not only esoteric but if you don't believe that shit it has real proven scientific huge benefits for sleep quality and energy through out the day, although never stare directly at the sun but look towards the side of it where it doesn't bother your eyes.

        >Is there anything wildly different about moon gazing, like the effects and whatnot?
Sungazing invokes the Sun, which is firey.
Moongazing invokes the Moon, which is watery.
Candle gazing invokes the fire element, which has effects that are similar to sungazing, but somewhat different as well.

Sun rules masculine sexual energy, willpower and the conscious mind.
Moon rules female sexual energy, emotions, happyness, dreaming, sleep and the subconscious mind.

So moongazing is good for astral initiations, dreamwork, feeling happy, and similar things.

Chanting mantra of Sun, Moon or Fire also invokes their energies.

I know about the elements and masculine / feminine but i didn't know that moongazing is good for astral stuff and dreamwork, makes sense though.

I have actually modified my candle-gazing in a way. I designed a place that embodies the fire element in my mind and there's a sun in there too. I won't describe it fully but there's some neat things like embers in the air. I switch between purely focusing into the flame and focusing on the place in my mind while looking at the flame. I use a yellow candle for added or enhanced effects like confidence and purpose.

Sometimes i visualise myself on flames (like higher flames), or visualise the flames of the candle enveloping the room i am in.

To add, what i described is probably more akin to fire magic, without tools - but added to the practice of gazing into the candle flame. I practice magic too ceremonially, with aether as a focal point or foundation of it.
