Transmission blew up in my old civic an hour ago, should I buy a new or used Subaru? A local mechanic was super cool and drover me home.
Also what is the best way to get rid of a fucked up car that is now stuck in the projects?

Lil Subaru is worse than honda
Dumbfucks
Dumbfucks
>should I buy a new or used Subaru?
horrible fucking idea
i was looking at the crosstrek, what car would you recommend instead?
honda civic, toyota corolla/camry
if you want a small shitbox then go toyota echo or geo metro/pontiac firefly (Canada model)
damn, i kept seeing videos that were saying how subarus were just as good as toyotas now
you're being shilled/lied to
>Listening to the LULZ hivemind
lol. Subarus are fine, especially the non-turbo ones. Anything 2013+ is just dandy.
OP needs a cheap car so he can actually save up for something that isn't a shitbox and afford the repairs that come along with shitbarus (which are clutch failure and head gasket issues especially prevalent on some models). My friend has a 2003 WRX and that car is practically falling apart, the clutch is shitting the bed which means the car might stall mid drive and he has to constantly ride the gas tank empty since he cannot afford the car's high gas usage. It's not a practical vehicle at all and is plagued with issues, esp if OP is getting a used one.
>Anything 2013+ is just dandy.
no it fucking is not
my friends 2018 subaru burns 2qt of oil per 1000 miles
and the dealer told him that's not even that bad
THE FUCKING DEALER SAID IT'S NOT EVEN THAT BAD
god dude just shut the fuck up you're just as bad as alphonse
i was thinking new
niggas on LULZ really recommending nearly 30 year old shitboxes for reliable transport
there are 2010 corolla's and accords retardkun.
yeah but there are no 2010 geos retard
Dont get a crosstrek anon, mine burns 1QT of oil every thousand miles and Subaru wont do anything to help, saying its a normal amount, its also possibly the slowest vehicle I've ever driven, to the point of being outright dangerous if I'm pulling out of a parking lot on to a busy street, I'm trading it in for a Mazda as soon as I'm able to put a good down payment on it, if you want a Subaru get a mid 90s outback, at least its cheap to repair
>crosstrek
>burns 1QT of oil every thousand miles >Subaru saying its the normal amount
They are telling you the truth. Can’t fix what’s not broken.
>possibly the slowest vehicle I've ever driven
This is exactly why I ended up not getting one. I liked the way they look and was considering the 6 speed. But then I found out you can only get the shitty engine with the manual trans and the bitch takes like 12 seconds to hit 60. That sounds absolutely unbearable.
subarus are shit and I suspect that your nice mechanic in the projects will take care of getting rid of that car for you without you having to ask
anything to know if I also liked the RAV4?
Compacts kill themselves a lot, regardless of who makes them.
Frankly, I would go with a 90s/00s Accord, Crown Victoria, pre-2005 Legacy/Legacy Outback, or 80s Impala. Everything else is a nope, in my book.
RAV4 is an ugly and frankly dangerous piece of shit. (A buddy of mine lost his mother who drove a RAV4, the other people, who had an Optima, were fine).
>t. Guy who knows people and will say things that nobody gives a shit about.
Why not just buy a new tranny at a junkyard?
everything looks like 4 grand to get the work done, i do not work on cars, if i did it i would need thousands of dollars for tools and some magic beans to not fuck it all up
>some magic beans
Gotta sell the cow for the beans first!
Buy another Civic
>Also what is the best way to get rid of a fucked up car that is now stuck in the projects?
This problem might solve itself
so RAV4 or Subaru crosstrek? or something similar?
>stuck in the projects?
A future engineer is already working on your car, so don't worry
