Why are you afraid? You're not part of the minority that's looked down upon and beyond that your chances of survival within a company will vary depending on the effort you put in. I've worked with mostly older people in the workplace (over 40) and they are by far the best people to work with. They're super chill and they work terribly slow so you look better in comparison. The younger folks who I have worked with have been tolerable and while I wouldn't say I've built as big a bond as I have with my older coworkers if you're just normal you'll be fucking fine.
