Thread for people who actually SHIT their pants over climate change.

Not gonna mince words. Here's what I fear will happen:
>Average temperature of 100°F (38°C) all "summer" long
>"Summer" meaning basically every month except maybe December and January
> Brutal droughts for months on end, people drinking piss. Hundreds of millions dead
> Bushfires that put a thermonuclear war to shame
>Basically 80-90% of world population dead by 2030 at the latest
>There will be roughly 10-20 F5 tornados for every 100 sqare miles on the whole planet, per year
>Increasing CO2 and heat will unlock the bound Methane on the planet. This will kill even the cockroaches and destroy every life except maybe volcanic bacteria.
>I believe all of this unironically and I think it's not even a worst case scenario. I think that's average case of what's gonna happen in the next 10 years
Please find an argument as to why I am wrong.
Prediction: I will be screamed down and called names, while no-one will argue against what I believe to be the objective, physically inevitable truth.
tl;dr: We all die screaming thanks to climate change.

I'm worried that scientists have been giving us optimistic predictions. It might be that the situation will be much worse much earlier than predicted.
80-90% of world population dead by 2030 at the latest
This is retarded. It's a long-term problem over centuries. If the problem truly was this critical we would deploy sunshades to space or geoengineer the atmosphere right now.

      >This is retarded. It's a long-term problem over centuries.
I, on the other hand, believe that I'm still lowballing and most people on the world will be dead due to climate change by 2025. Given this year's extreme temperature excursions, I predict average 50°C (122°F) during the winter in Greenland by end of 2024.

Where are you getting these apocalyptic projections from? The general consensus of what I've seen is something like a 0.25 C rise in temperature each year and the gradual loss of coastline over a period of decades (i.e. well enough time for the people living there to evacuate but likely a significant loss of heavy infrastructure). Not the death of nearly all life on Earth in less than 10 years.

That doesn't match even the worst IPCC scenario.
Austria once built a nuclear power station with the approval of the entire Austrian parliament, then, when it was finished
they had a referendum and decided not to turn it on. It was replaced by a coal power station that was later converted to burn gas.

'Climate change' people are simply stupid.
They lack the ability to see 'larger pictures' and spend their pathetic little life fully believing they are somehow in 'control'.
They are in fear of losing 'control' even though they fail to control themselves, the only thing a person really has control over.
Just defective thinking by propagandized simpletons who are being used by israelites.

None of that even matters, clearly we are coming out of a colder period into a very hot one. Our modern world was entirely built in last 200 years adapted to specific global climate conditions. They are changing and there will be crushing consequences as the world attempts to adapt. Of course (You) will be told that it's your fault for driving an F150 but that's irrelevant in the big picture.

    >Please find an argument as to why I am wrong.
    Here's one:
Climate data is collected by weather stations around the world, especially older data before the advent of satellites
It was noted that stations situated in urbanised areas are subject to "urban heat sink" effect and typically record temperatures two degrees or more than the surrounding countryside
Some of these weather stations have been relocated over time and yet their data is treated as one long continuous interrupted stream
A team of climate scientists in the US decided to check every piece of measuring kit in the US to see if it had always been in the same place
THEY FOUND THAT 81% OF ALL SUCH SITES HAD EITHER BEEN MOVED INTO AN URBAN AREA OR THAT AN URBAN AREA HAD GROWN UP AROUND THEM
So they stripped out the data from these 81% of sites and only considered the 19% that had always been and remained in the countryside
Guess what happened to the recorded rise in global average temperature across the US over the last 80 years?

    Go on, guess

Anon, modern meteorology doesn’t rely on a random dude in a station writing the data from a thermometer once a day. Nowadays they use a series of autonomous measuring devices, balloons, satellites and third party data to compile climate maps and are crossed with precipitation data to make sense, which is predominately measured in rural areas because of farming.

        >Nowadays they use
.... the payments of the former Maurice Strong and his rich cronies to climate scientists to say whatever the fuck they want them to say. Which is, since the 4th World Summit in Colorado in 1984 - that the "Global Warming" that they announced at this summit, is an actual thing and that Maurice Strong's paid mouthpiece would be sitting in front of Congress at some point and trying to shit them up with his doom-laden prophecies. This he later did in 1986.
Meanwhile, strings were pulled for Maurice Strong former head of Petro-Canada and a high up in Trudeau Sr's government, to get him appointed as Under-Secretary General of the UN. A position he then used to organise the Rio Earth Summit and the Kyoto Protocols. Strong would later go into business with one Mr Al Gore, another climate change shyster, and they would form a company which claimed to have a new method for recycling metals. This company took all kinds of government grants and funding. However, when the US govt asked to inspect their facilities, they mysteriously closed down. Maurice Strong was investigated for fraud and FLED TO THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA because he's a fucking CRIMINAL, a FRAUD and a fucking CHARLATAN
Mr Al Gore escaped all investigations because of course he's a Democrat politician and their rampant criminality is apparently fucking A-OK in the United States.
Strong's backers for his climate change Ponzi scheme which is intended to bankrupt western governments included at that 84 conference all your usual suspects - Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Soros, Gates, Vanderbilts etc etc

So in short. Fuck your alleged "science" Brazil anon, it's bought and paid for by the elite and you merely believe what they fucking want you to believe and they are, in point of fact, a gang of fucking crooks and con-men

The geological timescale doesn't care if you think it's caused by humans, it wants the temperature go back to its baseline. Every time you conflate the politics of "man-made climate change" with actual changes in the global climate, you lose an IQ point.

It won’t be nearly that drastic, but could be equally catastrophic. Rising ocean levels would flood a lot of places and desertification in vulnerable areas would create a humanitarian crisis. Russia would be the only country to benefit from it, really. Whether you believe this might motivate a certain kind of right-wing shilling is up to you…

In the early 2000s I was in elementary school and I was taught a few things about global warming. I was taught that unless we reduced our emissions all the ice would melt in the north pole and as a consequence all the polar bears would all die. The ice on Antarctica and Greenland would all melt and the oceans would rise 20-50 feet as a result, flooding costal cities and displacing billions of people. That all the penguins would die because the ice in Antarctica would be gone. That fires would rage across the globe and hundreds of millions of people would die of famine. That the sea turtles would be extinct, that the Amazon rainforest would be completely gone, that the Sahara would spread across Africa and consume the entire continent, that the Elephants would all be dead in the wild, that we would be enduring hot winters and boiling summers. When would all this destruction take place you ask? In the year of our Lord 2020.
Well now, look at that, all the emotional, terrifying, heart-stopping predictions that I was taught did not occur. But the same people who predicted wrong this one time surely will be correct about 2030. Just ignore all the incorrect predictions from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. THIS time they'll be right.

    >We can learn a lot about climate change from Venus, our sister planet. Venus currently has a surface temperature of 840 degrees F (450 degrees C) – the temperature of an oven’s self-cleaning cycle – and an atmosphere dominated by carbon dioxide (96%) with a density 90 times that of Earth’s.

    >Venus is a very strange place, totally uninhabitable, except perhaps in the clouds some 40 miles (60 km) up where the recent discovery of phosphine may suggest floating microbial life. But the surface is totally inhospitable.

    >However, Venus once likely had an Earth-like climate. According to recent climate modeling, for much of its history Venus had surface temperatures similar to present day Earth. It likely also had oceans, rain, perhaps snow, maybe continents and plate tectonics, and even more speculatively, perhaps even surface life.

    >Less than one billion years ago, the climate dramatically changed due to a runaway greenhouse effect. It can be speculated that an intensive period of volcanism pumped enough carbon dioxide into the atmosphere to cause this great climate change event that evaporated the oceans and caused the end of the water cycle.

Northern countries are not gonna be affected much by the heat. Southern countries are gonna collapse and their billions of people looking to enter your northern country.
The UN already has a framework for climate refugees that has been used to accommodate people displaced by natural disasters (of which drought is one). It's already happening. Water wars are brewing in Egypt/Sudan/Ethiopia, as well as India/China.

Yeah, well, some of it is already happening but overpopulation is a much more pressing issue.

You can't provide evidence, NONE AT ALL, for the certainty or even just likelihood of any of those scenarios. What is evidence? Only logical conclusion is. You can't name any objective fact and demonstrate how those events would be logical (!) consequences of it.
