looks great but idk nothing out of the ordinary, another nice laptop if you need it from apple if you have extra cash to splurge.
notched
>notched
Annoying, but never see it.
Pic rel covers the webcam.
finna buyed three
Is the storage still shit
that'd be cool if this one has an XDR display, if the 3nm rumor is true we should be having a significant gain in power and power efficiency, will we have 25h of autonomy with the power of m1 pro ?
Nope. Apple does tiers consistently. Only the pros have miniled
fair, miniled are not easy to mass produce
The airs will probably get it once they switch the pros to either oled or microled
300 PPI is useless on a fifteen inch screen. Better get your magnifying glass out.
fonts bro
you ever seen a book?
>High PPI to make up for shit font rendering
They're never living this one down. World's richest tech company can't figure out a basic OS feature.
>significant gain in power and power efficiency
which will be BTFO by AMD on 3nm
You mean 3nm+++++++++ which is actually 15nm+++?
You can't even get the memes right, that's intel
AMD won't be on TSMC 3nm but actually on Samsung 3nm which will be more dense than at least the TSMC 3nm coming out this year. I expect they will absolutely BTFO Apple in efficiency.
>AMD won't be on TSMC 3nm but actually on Samsung 3nm which will be more dense than at least the TSMC 3nm coming out this year.
That's great.
>I expect they will absolutely BTFO Apple in efficiency.
Zen 3+ was already very close to M1 if not even better.
The problem with x86 is the inherent design, the tight integration of Apple Silicon allows a very wide power consumption range (0.1W to 30W vs 2W to 30W for contemporary x86 chips) because almost everything, even the SSD controller is on that same 5nm die. If there ever were a semi custom SoC from AMD with the same level of integration I would fully expect it to beat Apple Silicon in battery life.
If AMD can manage to come close to Apple without sacrificing modularity that's gonna be even better. No problem with losing 2 hours of battery for SODIMMs and a replaceable SSD or two.
>notch
Pass
>laptop
>over 14"
into the trash it goes
Not even a consideration for me.
I will never buy a laptop without a trackpad.
What if it had the stinkpad style nipple?
no trackpad? there's no way they would do that
>A FUCKING NOTCH
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
/thread
macfags will actually buy this disgrace lol
Too big to be a handheld. Would be more interesting if it had a handheld version
sorry, im sticking with thinkpad.
cant they fix the notch issue with a pop up camera like picrel ? cant be that hard
> still going to have 8GB RAM / 256 SSD
> have to pay $500 more for 16/512
It's going to be $2k at least isn't it?
>> have to pay $500 more for 16/512
>he thinks 16GB is enough
unironically with all the memory leaks on MacOS you need at least 32GB for comfortable use
Laptops over 13" are dumb.
14" is fine too.
They suck. Got a T14 and I wish Lenovo still did 12.5 inch laptops.
I have an E14 and it's smaller than most older 13" laptops. 14-inch laptops are tiny now.
I'm happy with my Razer
So, are they gonna add a heatsink this time around? Or do they still think 30 watt CPUs do not need cooling?
The CPU in this also consumes 30 watts at full load.
Enjoy your facebook machine, homosexuals. Get a real laptop next time.
Lol the fan is not even near the cpu
>what is convection
Conduction. To a forced air convection cooler.
>what is a heat pipe
>what is a heaksink
>what is heat
>what is
>what
w-whew lad
Both of you are morons.
This, it's the same design as 99% of other laptps have used for years because there's nothing better. The heatpipe carries heat from the CPU to a fin stack, the fan pushes air through the fin stack and it's released out of the laptop entirely.
Will be artificially segmented like it already is with the 1 display output nonsense and the heatsinkless CPU. Even the M1 at least had a big chunk of metal to absorb heat, and seemed to manage fine with it.
Rumours about a version with the M2 Pro, I wonder if it'll be cheaper than the 14" pro
i had the 13" m1 air and returned it because macos only got worse since i last used it
im willing to spend money on nice stuff but i swear you neckbeards will worship anyone who gives you a swathe of corinthian leather and a stainless steel cock ring
what's the fucking point? if you need a big screen just use an external monitor. 15" is still too small to do anything with.
toy
idk, it's an apple laptop, everyone knows what that means: it'll be good but cost about 30% more than it's worth.
and in a year it will worth 100% more than the equivalent PC laptops
>He sells old computers
>He sells old laptops with soldered storage
If it has a 32GB RAM option and weighs significantly less than 2kg, I will buy it.
good boy
dumb homosexual
What does it look like when you do something fullscreen like a game or video?
The notch only takes up the space of the menu bar. This means that when something is full screen, the whole bar across the top just becomes black and the window is underneath it so you don’t see the notch sticking out.
Instead of intruding into the display, it’s more that space was cut around the notch for menu bars when they would have previously have been a bezel.
notch up another win for Apple. l'massoff
Is Apple, is going to be overpriced and somehow worst that the previous generation.
15" is a comfy size so I'm sure it'll be good. Hate Mac os however so I won't get one
