I read Tim Apple and some key execs are not participating in this project because of setbacks and compromises. You'll have a half baked product for the first gen, maybe a few iterations when silicon and screens are cheaper will it make financial sense. Personally I don't like the idea of walking around with a camera on my face filming everything I'm looking at, and my point is neither did people back then. But back then technology was for people who had an interest in tech, whereas today tech (and especially Apple products) are for normies.

Turns out people did want a small screen telling them small things after all. Only mistake Google made was not making it look cool which for retarded normies is important. The one usecase this might have is replacing a personal home theater. Having no controllers is going to be pretty awkward for games. For sports games the face gasket and headstrap better be replacable, because those are going to be very grimy fast.
