Btw no trans women was sent to actual extermination camps. Only a couple (less than 10) were sent to gay camps.
The large majority of German trans women were tolerated and had the right to crossdress (with a crossdressing permit), to change their names and legal gender, etc.
One was even allowed to adopt.
In general Nazis were much more tolerant to asexual and transbian trannies (AGPs) than with HSTSs , as those could fall under anti homosexuality laws. But only very few were and in fact a few could marry their husbands, generally it was a bit random and mostly based on how well the trans woman passed.
As to why they were so accepting, the Nazis simply never changed the Weimar laws regarding trans people.
