    they sure were. they fricked their own horses/cattle, didn't know how to farm, and became self hating the moment they urbanized (see kublai khan). steppe gypsies couldnt function after they manage to steal something that doesn't belong to them. like orphan children that found bars of gold. that's why israelites are so good at herding them around.

            South civilization, North barbarism, at least in the past.
            This is visible even in ancient DNA, the less nomadic cultures that formed some kind of more advanced culture (like Tocharians) are generally more Southern.
            I believe Tocharians will have plenty of BMAC ancestry.
