And put out 1 EP, 1 album and 1 remix album of solo material in the time it took Arca to shit like 10 albums' worth of material and a dozen videos out of that cybernetic cloaca

I fell out of favour with OPN(after being obsessed with R+7) until I re-listened to Replica for the first time in ages. Absolutely beautiful and magnificent album.

I don't get the hatred for post GOD era OPN. His newest release is some of his best work tbh. I swear it's just people being jaded or overly upset that he's not as lofi or sample based as he once was

his newest release is somewhat of a return to form but the 4 albums he did between that and god were really lame. it's not just about moving away from samples because r+7 isn't sample heavy and it's not about being lofi because everything after replica isn't lofi. another thing is that he stopped doing the each album transporting you into a new world sort of thing after god. he considers that sort of thing to be juvenile but that's what I loved most about his work. how each album sounded unlike anything else. he's been stuck in a self reflective mode for years and I'm glad he says his next album will be different

          AMEN
you put into words what I think about the terrible string of half-backed he releases after GOD (which i think it's in his top-tier album)

    >Jim
Yes. He is the only one who CAN save music. I don't really like his modern classical but I know he has it in him.
    >Dean Blunt
Meh. He's always just been aping off Ferraro's sound.
    >OPN
I like him, but his new stuff is actually unlistenable.
    >Arca
    No. Always sucked.
