The "innocent" human creature which can't differentiate between good and evil doesn't exist anymore.
This is a bad thing. What we originally had was a high IQ and empathy. Only once we settled and started agricultre did our brain gradually degenerate. The emotional connections and prowess you have today decreased by about 20%. We share these traits with domesticized breeds of animal. What increased in size is our frontal cortex, social "skills". The agricultural revolution was the death of the archetypal human and is where the npc arc started.

The serpent gave Adam and Eve the ego, which is the knowledge of false goodness and true evil. They perceived themselves as separate and naked from that point on, and that was the fall.

Also the death means the condition we have now, with the ego, totally disconnected from divinity.

Yeah and my dad works for Nintendo, all jokes aside there is a bit of truth to that statement and I am merely a person on an online forum however if you really do your reasearch you will learn two things.
    1. The story of the garden of Eden is actually an esoteric metaphor describing spirit to matter.
    2. There probably are more than 5 variations of that story some of which derive from ancient Babylon so to say there is hidden truth in this story is true only from the standpoint it is an esoteric allegory.

      >this story is true only from the standpoint it is an esoteric allegory
I don't get this take. It's like, if you wrote a story about a boy and his sled, and the sled was allegorical for something, within the context of the story there's still an actual boy and sled, even if the important part is the allegorical meaning. In the same vein, if God created the world and people, sure, there could be an esoteric allegory behind the events of the world, but I don't see why there wouldn't be literal people and events too. There's no reason for there to be only one interpretation available.
