Am I the only one who thinks there might have been a bit of a conflict of interest when former CIA director Allen Dulles, who had been personally fired by JFK, was one of only 7 members of the Warren Commission?

LBJgay, who did you vote for?

Neither. Both were anti-nationalist morons who did monumental amounts of damage to the US while fostering a cult-like following in their respective parties on a scale not seen since the “j*ffersonians”

JFK got us stuck in a massive murderous war, bungled most foreign missions, and began the road to civil rights anarchy. Reagan's foreign policy was relatively peaceful and his coup in Grenada was arguably the smoothest in our history, and he at least slowed the progression of civil rights.

What did Kennedy even do as president? Fund NASA? I'm guessing any president would've at the time though. Pigbay, Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam? Lay with ladies, have back problems. I dunno doesn't seem so impressive. Would it be fair to say he started the Vietnam War, caused the Cuban Missile Crisis by not removing the missiles from Turkey (Eisenhower put them there right?). If yes to both or even one then I'd say he's pretty terrible.

      You would be correct

Am I the only one who thinks there might have been a bit of a conflict of interest when former CIA director Allen Dulles, who had been personally fired by JFK, was one of only 7 members of the Warren Commission?

There’s no connection between Dulles being fired and Kennedy’s murder you schizo. Do you have any tangible evidence linking the two?

JFK almost single-handedly stopped the Cuban Missile Crisis from spiraling into a nuclear war (even Bobby was calling for airstrikes at one point lmao), but also put America on the road to disaster in Vietnam.

Had Reagan been President in 1962, he would have almost certainly caused a nuclear war. But at the same time, he would likely have never allowed such a crisis to happen in the first place (i.e. committing US ground forces to a full-scale invasion of Cuba during Bay of Pigs instead of half-assing it with some exiles armed with WWII surplus). He also ensured that the Soviet Union would march to defeat in Afghanistan, causing its ultimate collapse, by supporting the Mujahideen, which is a good thing.

    >inb4 6 million replies kvetching about muh blowback muh 9/11

The Soviets were waging a literal genocide in Afghanistan and by the time the occupation ended had exterminated over 2 million Afghans (out of a population of 13 million). Surely we can cut Reagan some slack for for some shit that Pakistani and Saudi-backed Mujahideen (not even American-backed ones) pulled over a decade after he left office.

      >JFK almost single-handedly stopped the Cuban Missile Crisis from spiraling into a nuclear war

He also nearly started WWIII multiple times because of his incompetence (Berlin for example) and the Cuban Crisis is a direct result of his own actions.

Important point: JFK was the last Democrat Reagan voted for prior to switching parties and he was quite open about having gotten his idea of tax cuts from him.

      Anonymous

JFK proposed tax cuts, but couldn't get them passed because he thought deficit spending would strengthen economy like a borderline socialist

        Anonymous

I know that. LBJ actually passed them. The top income tax rate was dropped from 90% down to 66% and then Reagan cut it to 33%.

Point is you can't claim jfk passed tax cuts to promote deficit spending when the only reason it got passed was because LBJ used JFK like a martyr

Federal deficit spending on purpose is socialism
