What would compel a man to drive this electric contraption?
The Citron Ami

An LS swap
an LS is bigger than that quadricycle, maybe place the engine on the roof?
>an LS is bigger than that quadricycle,
You really think that has stopped anybody to LS swap something?
I would unironically drive and love that. A total troll and sleeper. Just to see the look on other drivers faces when they realize what they just got smoked by.
Stock, the removal of ones genitalia.
Or this
A man has LS swapped a bar stool, it can be done.
The microcar is an extremely niche market. I don't really understand why they keep trying to make it a thing. The super minis (Toyota IQ, VW Up, Fiat 500) make much more sense.
those are actually selling very well since they don't require driving license
Oh, so it's like those Aixam "cars". I understand then.
aixam are super overpriced tho
That's super interesting. Here in the states only scooters, mopeds, and paramotor (!) don't require licenses to operate. I think if they were cheap enough and I used public transit most of the time I'd definitely consider one for the parallel parking ability. But that would only be if I was living in an actually dense city- the one I'm living in now would make absolutely no sense to buy
Boomers drive them in gated communities, it's ironic these are essentially 'walkable cities'
In France those tiny cars fall in the same category as scooter.
Tiny engines, max speed 45 km/h and 14 yo can drive them
It's selling so well for its design and manufacturing cost, Citroen is toying with the idea of a beach variant.
>Toyota IQ
Sold too poorly. Even JP market was a no-go, it was small like a Keith car but too large to legally be a kei car.
Shame, because it mogged the Smart car in practicality.
>Keith
Kei
That's what I get for phonefagging.
I made a thread about how current Citroen was fucked up around a year ago, with a pic of their full lineup. Some anons:
>Nooo! But the Ami is great!!!
It's a fucking dishwaser on wheels, bro.
The Ami isn't for you, it's for men who are secure in their sexuality.
Everybody who bought into globohomo feels quite secure about about it, with media, artists, "scientists", politicians and supranational entities supporting the cause. Not much merit about it.
So you're more of a localhomo then gayboy?
Damn, I'm really looking forward to Spec Ami racing.
a need to transport myself from point A to point B
The Ami isn't even classed as a full-fledged car, it's limited to 45km/h and doesn't require a full driving license.
It's in the same "4-wheeled scooter" category as pic related.
This to me makes a lot more sense than EVs that weigh 5,000 lbs and can do 0-60 in under 3 seconds.
Generally speaking cars that have really fast 0-60 times aren't typically very practical regardless of what powertrain they use.
Although a Model S Plaid is probably the most practical car that's that fast that I can think of, but its also under 5000lbs so its probably not what you were thinking of.
There are some over 5,000 lbs that do 0-60 under 3 secs. The Lucid Air, the Audi RS E-tron, the Taycan turbo S. But even the ones that do it under 4 secs like the Rivian truck seem overkill. The freaking Hummer EV does it in 3 sec and weighs close to 9,000 lbs..
>over 5000
>Audi RS E-tron
holy shit, I saw one in person the other day. I thought it was a sissified chink A7, never crossed my mind how heavy it is.
If you want to make a long distance trip, and you have decent CCS infrastructure in your region, a 500 mile range Lucid Air is probably a pretty practical way to go about that.
But in terms of in-town driving, for a single person or two people it really is hard to justify not just using a Ami, especially if they're available as a service.
If it was a rentable city/town car with self driving
I want one. To swap with a motorcycle engine.
Imagine this with a 1000+ cc 4 cylinder.
I imagine it would be awfully loud inside.
One day in the future they will develop a way of making it quiet. Like a muffler, or sound deadening or isolating the engine from the cabin.....
Until then, I can only dream
homosexual
No room to isolate it from the cabin in this thing. You would be sitting on top of the engine but you would probably like that, you big homo.
>from the cabin
The whole thing IS the cabin, the only place for an engine would be the passenger seat, anon can slap all the dynamat he was, he'll still get his eardrums turned to dust
Even if he overcame all that he would have some 200 hp on a car designed to do less than 30 mph lmao
It's a 4 seater, you telling me a motorcycle engine is too big?
2 seater
that's fucking retarded, and probably impossible just get a kei car
This is ridiculous.
What if I needed to tow or haul something on short notice?
That’s why I’ll never buy less than a 2500 truck.
Right? It's not like I could drive over to this place that rents trucks for like $20 a day so you can haul stuff
Or I can use my own vehicle that isn't some cucked goypod
The demographic for this is "Well off student without driving license living in city" These are like 4k, are big enough for some groceries and 2 people but that's it. They have like 100km range, limited to 45km/h. They're actually pretty popular in France, and I've seen a bunch here in Belgium as well, mostly in Liège. Also you can pay them monthly for like 80 bucks from the get go.
>What if I needed to tow or haul something on short notice?
You don't. You never have. You never will.
Daily commute not exceeding 20 miles. Wanting to be able to park in half a spot. Being tired of the wind, rain and snow. Being 14 and not having a license.
it cost 8k tho ...
Teenagers have parents.
the mopedcars they have here costs from $10k-20k, basically mopeds with four wheels and a cab made to look like a car. This isn't France but I imagine it isn't that hard to come up with $8k for a "car" you'll drive for 2 years and prob get decent resale value from.
It's quite cool just needs way more powerful motor.
Dude just had to unleash the whole 8 horsepower in that tight turn.
I have a driving ban, but legally I am allowed to drive this.
Thanks France!
It looks upset.
>crashing it in front of the Fairmont
Imagine the shame that man must have felt.
Thought BEV were supposed to have amazing handling due to all the weight being at the bottom. Guess that was a lie too.
I'm buying one
>6000€ brand new
Is there a cheaper car?
>car
That's a quadricycle
All cars are quadricycles
I mean legally, they are like Aixams
Mong
>Nobody noticed the based fiat 126
Frankly better than the AMI in all possible ways
A broken man. A bug man, whipped by the world into submission
i fucks with the buggy tho
"buggy", shit looks barely suitable for gravel roads
