the betrayal that saved wrestling

Fan theory floating around that Hunter orchestrated the media investigation into Vince to oust him after Vince essentially fired both him and Steph last fall and spring respectively.

Part of it hinges on the theory floating around that one of the women Vince fucked and then paid off to go away was Christy Hemme. Hemme is a long time friend of Sam "Dexter Lumis" Shaw.

Theory goes, Hunter gets ousted. Dexter, feeling bad for Hunter and Hunter stewing privately that he wants revenge against Vince, tells Johnny Gargano, who tells Hunter, that Vince fucked and paid off Christy and told her that she wasn't the first woman he did this too in the late 00s.

Hunter gets the details from Christy and with Steph's help, starts piecing together a list of other women that Vince might have fucked and paid off and provides the list to a sympathetic reporter who does further investigations.

Johnny Gargano fits in with this as he explicitly stayed home after his contract expired and was also very close to Hunter and was working alongside Dexter for about a year. Leading some to believe he was in on the plot from the beginning and stayed home and didn't rush to join AEW like the Undisputed Era did, because he was in on the coup plot and waiting patiently for Hunter to pull it off and take control so he could come back to the WWE/main roster with Dexter, with both men being rewarded with preferential treatment/booking for their part in helping overthrow Vince.

It took an underhanded ruthless corporate takeover to prove to Vince that HHH has what it takes to run WWE. He must've been so proud of his daughter's vagina after that.

I remember Lumis just happened to be working on a Vince painting when he got released.
If that rumor is true, it was a flex all along.

Wasn't Dexter cut because Nick had to cut X-amount of budget for Vince from the roster and Dexter got fucked over, because Nick wanted to cut Roderick Strong but Vince vetoed it because Strong's whining about wanting to be released and Vince wanting to keep him around purely to spite him/send a warning to talent that you couldn't cry your way out of a WWE contract and join AEW?

        I've heard two stories:

        1. One is that story you gave.

        2. The other was that Dexter's contract expired this summer and Dexter wanted a pay raise given that he signed for the bare minimum given to NXT talent. When contract negotiations stalled, Nick swept in and simply cut Dexter with no advance notice, rather than risk Vince giving Dexter a pay raise.

I'm hoping Shane overthrows him by releasing a bunch of dirty shit on Paul. That would be true pottery.

all of this sounds a lot more interesting than any story line in wrestling
      >paul goes after Vince
      >Shane goes after paul for various reasons
      >Shane releases all the dirt on paul
      >Shane takes control but then his and Vince's boys vs pauls boys
      fuckin Shakespearean my nigbros

So long as Shane goes over Haitch, I might start watching WWE again.

It's true though. Hemme was offered several people to do the stalker storyline with Impact wanting Crimson to be the boyfriend. Hemme picked Sam instead, in part because they were friends (so he wouldn't take liberties with her) while Crimson was a known asshole who she didn't feel comfortable working with.

Don't know if it's true but it would be super duper black comedy that the downfall of Vince and the next Golden Age of Wrestling all came about because someone at Impact decided to revamp an extreme sports dudebro into a Lifetime abusive boyfriend cliche and had him do a storyline with one of Vince's side pieces.

Cool fanfiction that you wasted god knows how long thinking up and then writing, but the person who ousted Vince was some random cunt in the legal department that Vince was fucking like two years ago. She's the one that went to reporters and this then sparked further investigations which uncovered all the other shit.
