sup LULZ,
Do you guys have any exp with applying for 100% remote jobs?
I'm from Belgium (that shitty non-country), speak dutch and english and have a bachelor's degree in computer science (+5y exp in networking, CCNA and shiet).
Is it possible to get a job that's 100% remote? Like fucking tech support for all I care.
As an american I would jump for joy to hear a Dutch accent over an Indian one. I love you gold finger talking freaks so much.
>Hallow thunk yoo fir cilling Awple support
pls n-no lewd, only legit help and info...
do you think it's possible for me to remotely for a US company? I mean the pay would certainly be alot better than here in yurop
It's so fucking easy to imitate an accent, I can't fathom how peoples brain work that they find it so hard
>As an american I would jump for joy to hear a Dutch accent over an Indian one
Western Euros still require first world pay, possibly more than that due to taxes. At that point you may as will hire locally.
Unfortunately, no. European labor is cheaper than US labor, especially for more specialized personal - even with all the additional costs for healthcare.
Yes, I'm huezilian and have a 5k USD/mo job. I'm pretty much king of the jungle.
Just be a good programmer, that's all it takes.
I'm shit at coding, can only do networking/pajeet support.
What do I do? I'm also happy with 3k/month
Get good at coding. There's no alternative. For tech support they can hire Pradeep for $2/hour.
When are you good as coder?
>Telling a pajeet to get good at coding
LMFAO.
for 5k/mo you could probably fuck 3 new 16 yo hookers every night in basil
How and exactly WHERE do you actually apply to those jobs? I'm a banananagger aswell and can't find anything.
Try every outsourcing sweatshop you can find. arc.dev, wellfound, there are a million others.
Argenagger here.
How did you land that job?
What technologies did the job require?
Do you have a degree?
>How did you land that job?
By applying.
>What technologies did the job require?
Typescript, go, React.
>Do you have a degree?
Yes.
Same
I'm convinced all remote job listings are fake and just posted to farm pii, I've applied to probably hundreds and never gotten a response. I have two years of experience and a bs.
Applied to a few hybrid jobs, let them know I live 20 minutes from the office and get a call and an interview within hours. Negotiated fully remote after working for a month or so and demonstrated I wasn't a grifter, they were happy to give my office to someone else cause they were low on space.
With hybrid/non-remote jobs you only have to compete with people in your local area and people who are willing to move. You might not get the job, but your chances of at least being considered are high.
With fully remote jobs, you have to compete against the entire country, sometimes the entire world. It's likely that your application gets thrown out completely arbitrarily due to the sheer volume of applications.
>Belgium (that shitty non-country), speak dutch *lower case* and english *lower case*
KYS shitskin. Go back to india/bahrat.
The high paying worldwide full remote jobs are extremely competitive, like hueanon said above you actually have to be really good to get those.
I noticed that the EU-wise full remote ones pay like shit since they aim them at eastern euros, but the bar is lower. I personally compromised with a 1 day per week in office position that pays above 100k euros per year.
I'm a poortuguese working for a norwegian company full remote.
But I gotta admit. It was pretty hard to land a full remote job. It took me half an year of interviews until I got one.
I believe hybrid positions are easier because you're just competing with locals instead of the whole world.
>I'm a poortuguese working for a norwegian company full remote.
how/where did you apply?
My brown friend they do a zoom interview with full face. I'm afraid you won't qualify.
> find companies that hire mostly indians
> submit a resume with a fake upper caste name
> do brown face for all of the interviews.
> accent game on point.
> bumble through the interview. it doesn't matter, anyways.
> 2weekslater.jpg
> the recruiter calls me to excitedly tell me I passed on the first technical round and they've decided to skip all further rounds and give me an offer
>$300k, fully remote. $250k RSUs/yr
> it-begins.png
> i immediately drop the accent and brown face. keep the indian name for lulz
> start requesting nonsensical changes like "immediate compatability" and "emoji documentation"
> forcing work to grind to a halt the third day at work since they have to obey my upper caste
> they all leave
> hire only white people and drop the act. all is right in the world once again
> still keep the fake indian name, tho
The best jobs are 95% remote ones. They are restrictive enough that not literally half of the world can apply, but you also get almost all of the perks of a full remote job.
I've been working for more than a year at my gigacorpo now and I've visited the offices... Like 6 times?
Most remote jobs have gorillion people applying to them so they're looking for a perfect match. It's hard unless you do research and prepare shit to show them for the exact technologies they are using and interested in
Yes.
