they let AEW sign yuka sakazaki on a two-way contract, they'd probably do the same for take who has much bigger potential to get international eyes on their brand(s)
ddt only has a handful of guys worth a damn while njpw has a plethora of talent that westerners also love and thus they were able to do 17k+ at the united center
westerners only give a fuck about tana, okada, naito, ibushi and the barely mobile old meme guys, and out of those they've only announced tana and like two old meme guys
Takeshita shouldn't go back to DDT. He will make a lot more money in America as long as immersion helps him with his English. AEW is a good place to cut his teeth before Disney throws millions at him one day. Mark Henry sees it. Tall Paul Wight sees it. They both know he will be on WWE's radar sooner than later.
>tune in >Bailey working leg >Take a shit immediately starts sprinting and does a flip without selling the leg
Ah it's just another low-tier wrestling match that gets hyped by the cult. Good to know.
>oh no the horror, they worked incredibly safely with a child in DDT for a while[...] >the big think guys in AEW e.g. Jericho, should take a look at Takeshita and figure out a character for him
Jericho has been complete cancer for a long long time, don't even joke about that.
Takeshita just needs to stick with a finish instead of changing it every few years. This weak knee lift he changed to on this tour sucks.
His character finally became based in DDT the past couple years, he needs to be that guy and not 'happy to be here rookie', because he legitimately has more main event match experience than anyone in AEW except Joe and Sting.
> he needs to be that guy and not 'happy to be here rookie'
Exactly. He finally found the right character for himself in Japan but there's nothing on this tour besides his natural charisma that stands out about his personality. He's just a smiling guy. I feel like this happens to a lot of talent. >needs to stick with a finish
It looks like shit 2/3 times but the knee lift is better for his style than the submission finish he's been using in DDT. It's basically money clip syndrome all over again because it derails the momentum of a match. Takeshita should have a huge power move as his finish.
why doesnt he stick with the German Suplex
he has one of the most picturesque in the biz
Because he's so good at wrestling he can get 3 moves over: a Stan Hansen Lariat, a Harley Race Knee and a Karl Gotch German Suplex. He goes through them in order and whichever wins, wins. So far his knee has been enough but if the match proves big enough, you get the German. He has finally realized that the move doesn't matter as much as getting it over. He is going to be very rich.
Okay but actually. Takeshita is way too good to be stuck in DDT during his prime years. He's still really young, so he could go to either AEW or WWE and be built into a star. He's probably the only jap TK should throw big money at.
Emphasis on "could". WWE wouldn't push him or make him a star, even though he probably could be since he's got all the right tools. I'd see him going to NXT 2.0 if they signed him.
No, I just see the ones that go to other places where I understand the jist going in. I don't know where to start with DDT and at this point, I'm afraid to ask.
>oh no the horror, they worked incredibly safely with a child in DDT for a while
Takeshita has been a phenomenal wrestler for years but has always lacked that extra thing to get him really over. In all seriousness, the big think guys in AEW e.g. Jericho, should take a look at Takeshita and figure out a character for him that can take him to the next level and get him over.

What's left for Takeshita in DDT? It'll be 10 years in August. He was a world champ 4 years into debuting and has won the tourneys and gotten the titles. He like conquered DDT and can now cash in by taking his show on the road. That guy is no ordinary wrestler and he should be on my TV and not my laptop.
Dave books for AEW now?
how behind the times are you?
Yes, are you new here?
Yep.
Tony essentially books the show to cater to Meltz's ass.
in all seriousness TK should probably make a deal with DDT and buy out Takeshita's contract, dude is a bonafide stud
>PLEASE TONY SIGN MORE PEOPLE
lol
yeah unironically tk should lock this dude in
not enough rematches for ya?

they dont even let her off youtube lol
They should just stop bothering with jamals and make forbidden door a cyberagent crossover

His match against Mike Bailey is debuting on YT in 26 mins.

>NJPW
He's shoot ugly as fuck and a DDT guy so he'd struggle to make it to the top in NJPW.
>AEW
chuds don't draw in the US brother.
At one time, Yoshihiro Takayama was considered the Japanese Hulk Hogan and he's ugly as fuck.
Different time brother, look at the top guys now. Okada, Tanahashi, Ibushi, Naito even has that kind of unconventional appeal.
>Naito even has that kind of unconventional appeal.
no no he does not
All he needs is a vet who loves him and currently guys who can vouch for him and he's good
>WWE
>building young stars
lololololololol

Take shit a LMAO jap wrestling doesn’t draw
lmao Kenny's butt boy was already overrated
So no one in this thread has ever watched DDT, but pretend to be experts on it. Cringe.
Nah I’ve never watched it and I don’t care, I just hate meltzer and think it should have been him that got suicided instead of benoit
I liked ddt when it was entertaining about a decade ago
I watch it for Ueno
No, I just see the ones that go to other places where I understand the jist going in. I don't know where to start with DDT and at this point, I'm afraid to ask.
