>such a lonely day...

>such a lonely day... should be banned!
>such a lonley day... shouldn't exist!
Cringe. Was this song meant to be a parody?

I don't know. I love SOAD. And I can acknowledge the song has great guitar playing and a good melody.
I can also understand EMO was all the rage at the time. But seriously, what the fuck.

That's because soad was a very mainstream meme band who was constantly on tv and radio

It's a cringe line but that's why you remember it, that's the point

Yeah honestly instrumentally this song was a fucking banger but the lyrics were weak and left a lot to be desired, I suppose it happens from time to time. Could have been pressed for time. But in another sense the progression is a pretty simple and common one and the lyrics match that so maybe that was the goal

A lot of the songs written primarily by Darren are some of SOAD's worst songs.
    >Lonely Day
    >She's Like Heroine
    >Lost in Hollywood

Lost in Hollywood is a blatant rip-off of Street Spirit (Fade Out). I still like it tho

The lyrics aren't high brow but i really don't think they're that bad and they still evoke some melancholy feelings, and the melody is great (which is pretty standard for soad anyway) fuck yall

LULZ hates feelings, they prefer vague refrigerator noises or corny blood & guts metal

Let's just say that lyrics aren't Daron's strong suit. Love his guitar and melody work but yeah, those lyrics don't do that song justice

SOAD is one of my favorite popular bands. Sometimes they overdo it with the angry opera singing but to me they are very hard and dramatic yet goofy/funky too. And their riffs and lyrics are just fun to play/sing. cigaro, lonely day, and byob are probably my favorites.

The most loneliest day of my life isnt even grammatically correct, I don't think.
    Should've been a big tip-off.

    Then:
    >such a lonely day... should be banned!
    >such a lonley day... shouldn't exist!
    Now:
    >Some times I'm alone
    >Some times I'm not
    >Some times I'm alone
    >Hello!
