I prefer forks. Mint is way more comfy than Ubuntu.
fpbp. Mint is the only reason Linux is still relevant on the desktop.
What an original post
Nothing even tangentially related to Linux is worth what people pay for it.
>inb4 $0
Still too high.
kys
Why?
>I don't use linux because i can't drag and drop something to install it
ngmi and go back to your containment
Wrong board
if you value your time you would use a real os like windows or Mac
>Still the only linux distro worth anyone's time
being this new
newfags would insist on using arch tho
agreed very comfy distro
I started with Mint and switched to Ubuntu because some packages didn't work on Mint. Never felt the need for another distro, it just werks.

Holy metastasis Batman! Might as well juts start sucking Apple or Microsoft dick at this rate.
>Ads in a command line updater
really?
>snaps
IDK about this one I haven't tried to uninstall it
>gnome
you can fully uninstall it
The """""ads"""" he mentions are actually ESM reminders aka advices about ubuntu offering more security patches if you don't want to update to a newer version of ubuntu. Only showed on my terminal once (the very first time i used the update command) and appeared never again.
I bet anon calls new version notifications "ads" too

pssh, nothing personnel

The fact that this is unarguably true is just a reflexion of how absolutely pathetic desktop linux is.
There are 5 distros worth using
>Debian
>Ubuntu
>Fedora
>Arch
>Gentoo
my mother ordered the ubuntu cds when i was a child to revive the xp shitbox, my first introduction to linux lots of good times playing tux games and using openoffice, transmission for movies and music etc it was truly year of the linux desktop.
