Bannon's vocals are better than the usual whiny metalcore vocals or whatever Elmer Fudd thing the singer of BTBAM has going on. I think BTBAM has higher peaks than Converge but the Elmer Fudd enunciation always takes me out of their music somewhat.
idk why people expect a metal album, they're clearly punk and they borrow aspects from metal.
never made it past the third track
the vocals are shite
if it's the vocals that deters you, listen to Bloodmoon maybe. fantastic album with softer vocals and lots of vocals by Chelsea Wolfe. What got me into this band as a teen was Axe to Fall, it's overall more accessible. Doesn't sound like you're here for any discussion or open mind though.

It's like he treats vocals like an instrument, it's not there to stand out. It's there to assist and elevate the other instruments in the assembly. They do have lyrics but they are not very important to the experience. It's kind of like Cocteau Twins' nonsense lyrics.
i prefer botch's we are the romans, but this album was still a solid 10-15 years ahead of its time.
great album also. I was more into Bless The Martyr, Kiss The Child which in retrospect just ripped of Botch's whole deal.
I started following them right when when forever comes crashing came out but got bored with them by the time jane doe was released. Most say this was them at their peak. Poacher Diaries was good too though, right before it.

what do you mean by elmer fudd? I never got that impression from Tommy Giles vocals. Do you mean the cleans or harshes?
Probably one of the shittiest bands of all time
t. homosexual /metal/fag purist

>listen to Bloodmoon maybe
That album is bad, though. And I like both Converge and Chelsea Wolfe.
>Bless The Martyr, Kiss The Child
I love you for this, though.
There's nothing wrong with metalcore. Except if you listen to a metalhead. But you should never listen to a metalhead talk about music.
Why aren't you guys all listening to The Callous Daoboys?
>The Callous Daoboys
Move aside, homosexual.
I wish with the new wave of mathcore bands we will get represses of the classic mathcore sound. That Heavy Heavy Low Low is still beautiful sasscore.
I've always liked this too:
Oh, shit, I said that and went and searched and they literally repressed that Heavy Heavy Low Low album this year.
I wish they'd do more pressings of Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza's Danza I and II
Bloodmoon sucked and Bannon sucks and calling Converge 'clearly punk' is laughable.
Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child was great though.
Love this album and band. Listened to them almost non-stop a few years ago
i prefer botch's we are the romans, but this album was still a solid 10-15 years ahead of its time.
I'm not a big hardcore fan, but that one is great
band has no hooks whatsoever
I started following them right when when forever comes crashing came out but got bored with them by the time jane doe was released. Most say this was them at their peak. Poacher Diaries was good too though, right before it.
You Fail Me is my fav Converge album but Jane Doe is a classic. Phoenix in Flight into Phoenix in Flames is kino
love all their music, here's my spread
Based, here's mine
how do I convince you Bloodmoon is actually really good though?
tfw 30 🙁
Found out about Converge when You Fail Me came out, got to see them live that year too. Still my favorite album too.
My favorite Converge albums are Petitioning the Empty Sky and No Heroes.
I have nothing else to add to this discussion.
Jane Doe is pretty good too
i don't see how anyone over the age of 29 can enjoy this angst fest
I've always thought of Converge as the Led Zeppelin of "hardcore" in that, nobody ever really had the balls to admit that they ultimately suck
I wish both bands well, though
>metalcore
Whats wrong with metalcore?
LULZ is full of stuffy contrarians who hate having fun.
Its alright, I personally disagree with the hype, but I just saw them live and that was great so im a fan
