The power to do anything not explicitly prohibited by the Bill of Rights. That's the 10th Amendment.

Push for federal legislation to force other states to hand back fugitive slaves. It's a very inconsistent position when you think about it

I’m not from the South but I do wonder why do you come across as hostile to Southerners? They are your natural superiors.

          >Humans are property

Yes?? Isn’t that how most of history has and even current non-Whites see it.
It’s fairly uniquely White to elevate defeated inferior elements of society to your equals. Whites angels lol. Too bad they’ve been taken advantage of.
Southerners had a healthier and more historically informed approach to historical institutions, and their fight against imperialism to preserve very human and humane ways of life ought to be admired and revered.

How about you stop committing crimes?

    States rights to be racist.
    States rights to oppress women
States rights to harass and systematically remove trans folx from society.
States rights is a dog whistle for a white supremacist/alt right position.

People will unironically agree with you. For those people.
What’s wrong with these things if objective morality doesn’t exist.
Humans are just tribes trying to become numerous and powerful, why can’t Whites play the game the same as others?

People are forgetting about the tribe game or redefining which tribe they identify with. Such is life.

Ok but the union was anti-slavery yet used slavery to fight the war.

Yes but abolitionism was also big in the upper echelons of Unionists.
One big issue that everyone has forgotten was the concern that land out West would be bought up by rich slaveowners. Lincoln in particular saw slavery as a threat to his Homestead Act, which would have seen many families eventually priced out by wealthy landowners.
