I noticed ppl are going back to a more classic and mature way of dressing

Seeing more and more dress shoes, coats etc among zoomers

If this was someone posting a pic of themselves here instead of some random online thot, it would 100% be a guy in that outfit

That is the ‘old money’ style that gained some popularity this year. I think that it is dying off though.

They don’t pull it off because they aren’t old money and it looks like a massive LARP, as well as being a misnomer and just plain wrong. Just wear classic menswear but with normal pieces too instead of making your entire life a costume.

Boomers and millennials had jobs and moved out of their parents houses when they turned 18. Okay well not the younger millennials, but the older ones did.

Boomers are the reason jeans went from being work wear to casual. And Millenials literally dressed up like lumberjacks to go to their "jobs" serving overpriced coffee.

Most current trends are just simulations of previous eras. Go out on town today and you’ll see teenagers and people in their early twenties, one dressed in Y2K fits with baggy jeans and neon croptop, another in early 70s high wast wide legged jeans and long hair, another in baggy early 2000s style, another in ‘trad’ skirt and blouse. It’s all meaningless aesthetics and simulations of previous eras.

This is a good thing. I long for a day when it’s not considered “cultural appropriation” by anyone to wear dreadlocks or blue contacts or a feathered headdress because “it akshually means something” to a particular group of people and instead it’s all just seen as various aesthetics and fashion without any stupid baggage. A beautiful world where everyone is just like a kid playing dress-up, wearing things because they like how they look, pure and uncorrupted by moralistic politics or gender or identity politics. Fashion should be like designing an avatar, as many choices as possible, nothing “belongs” to any particular group, so anyone can take inspiration from whatever they like

You people are all idiots who fall for internet gayry.
The people are not dressing like any former generation besides the ones who post specifically that on tiktok. Its like saying military uniforms from the second world war are popular to wear now because you see reenactors on tiktok. You are all desperately clinging on to the idea that people still have any amount of decency or care about themselves. The people are dressing in hoodies, sweatpants and sneakers not in "OLD MONEY FASHION" or "Y2K" styles.

Its all internet larpism. Its larp. You consume the larp and think its real life.

Schizophrenic /pol/ garbage. Blatantly off topic. Why does every 17 year old /pol/Hispanic feels the need to flood the rest of the website with their inane shit?
