If it is true the J1 subclade found in Finland would be pretty much the only Indo-European paternal line left

Nah, some R1b became CHG lineage early on. I expect to find more R1b in pre-neolithic Caucasus.

the J1 in Karelia can't be representative of that because Lazaridis' argument has a constraint of ~800-1000 years of split between proto-Anatolian and late PIE.

There is also J1 in Khvalynsk (and the exact same clade in Afanasievo, probably picked up from Khvalynsk). The authors seem to discount the association with IE as there is limited to no PPN in the former. And you need CHG+PPN in that last wave of ancestry to make the argument work.
      Here is the clade https://www.yfull.com/tree/J-CTS1026/

Why are these guys so obsessed with where our ancestors came from or what they looked like? Either way, they're still our ancestors and not yours.

Strange that the people of the caucuses don't speak indo-european languages? Really makes zero sense for the hypothetical PIE armenians to have managed to cross the caucuses to the north in large enough numbers to displace the language of the pontic-caspian steppe without having an lasting legacy on the causcus languages.

Also strange that that hattians who ruled Anatolia didn't speak a PIE derived language and that the indo-european hitties didn't arrive until 2000bc but the yamnaya culture existed in 3200 bc. So the hypothetical armenia PIE spread their language to the yamnaya, over the mountains, without interacting with the existing CHG, 1200 years before they moved 100miles to the east?

Also we'll need to rework the origin of the Hurrian and Urartian languages which are also said to have originated in Armenia but aren't thought to be related to PIE so how did that happen? Armenians developed PIE, spread it across the caucuses and then forgot it and invented a new completely different language?

My guess the non IE languages come from an Neolithic Iranian back migration. Or maybe Caucasian languages are IE, just too deeply diverged to reconstruct.

Turks, Armenians, Georgians and Greeks do not consider themselves white even though they are Europeans and have still tried to join the European Union

modern demographics in that region are not representative of the demographics there in ancient times.

what race modern Turks, Armenians, Georgians and Greeks consider themselves is irrelevant. The population demographics in ancient times were dramatically different than the modern ones.

    I legitimately don't understand this.
    >Southern arc confirms CHG comes from the caucuses, no shit, right?
    >CHG is one of two primary components for steppe, the other being EHG.
EHG and CHG still interbred north of the caucuses, did they not? Wouldn't the area where CHG and EHG blended be the genetic PIE homeland? Or is this just suggesting PIE languages come from the caucuses?
Also, how is this crackers btfo? Don't northern yuros still have the largest degree of steppe dna by far? Seems a bit like saying all non nigs btfo because homo sapiens emerged from Africa.
