So, like, bruh, can we even solve this, like, whether being trans is, like, all in the genes or whether the environment plays a role too? Like, some studies have found, like, genetic markers that may be linked to gender identity, but they still haven't identified, like, one definitive gene or anything (Zhou, Hofman, Gooren, & Swaab, 1995, Nature: International Weekly Journal of Science, pp. 68-70).
But, like, culture and society may also have a say in shaping gender identity, since it's been shown to, like, vary across different times and places (Kulick, 2018, Gender & Society, pp. 662-687).
And, there's even research suggesting, like, differences in brain structure between people with different gender identities, but we still don't know how that all fits in with developing gender identity (Bao & Swaab, 2011, Frontiers in Neuroendocrinology, pp. 214-226).
So, like, the question of whether genes or environment has a bigger influence on being trans is, like, super complex and, like, multi-layered, man, especially given all the different gender identities out there and how genes and the environment can, like, interact and stuff.
why the fuck do you type like that
didnt read, take your pills alice

you are stupid sorry anon
its caused by society
we are just part of natural human variation that modern industrial society refuses to allow to exist
it fucks us up and causes what would otherwise be healthy normal people to become adhd autist trannies
i truely believe that in a world where its fully acceptable for me to be a faggy little gay bottom nerd without getting at all abused mentally or physically for it or ostracized or outcast just because i dont fit societies ideals id be a perfectly happy healthy person going about my nerdy bottomy life
instead im a mentally ill tranny with autism and adhd
this is why science is yet to find a solid cause for any of these things, because there isnt one, they are natural, but society turns these things into mental illnesses
>we are just part of natural human variation that modern industrial society refuses to allow to exist
look how the cis talk about us all the time on tv and are even having weird political battles to decide whether we're allowed to go to the bathroom
the transgender experience is primarily defined by the insanity of cisgender people, and by our being a minority.
imagine this world
>No rigid gender expectations
>99% of parents are supportive of their trans kids because they were educated properly and society expects that support
>sex ed in school teaches you about puberty and includes information for trans kids to understand how to transition if they want to and their parents never told
>healthcare is 100% free for everyone
>trannies are just treated as normal and don't even have to hide it
i remember vividly when i was in elementary school, i hadnt really felt safe or understood the guys, i always wanted to play house or jump rope pr hop scotch with the girls, and always prefered cute stuff. it was always just, more pleasing on the eyes and brain. eventually when i was 7 i told my older brother i wanted to be a girl but he shrugged it off. then when i was 14 i was realllly into anime, and i would always self insert or want to be the cute anime girls, and dress up like them. i was always so jealous of traps and guys that got transformed into girls
and well, ironically, around that time late at night one night i was browsing LULZ, probably /d/, and found a thread about kidnapping and force feminizing someone and i thought it was hot as hell. and that night after talking on LULZ for the first time i discovered the term "transgender", and after a lot of research, the term seemed to explain the feelings i had felt my whole life. so personally, its hard to say where the feelings actually came from.
u must be 18 to browse LULZ
lol well im 28 now
then stop typing like a fkn middle schooler
wtf are you trying to say anon
I am going to kill you
Mfw Chicago citation on LULZ
Also iffy answer since everyone's experience so far has been subjective. There probably is an objective correlation to all this that we don't know yet tbh
I'm in an evolutionary psych class so take my response w/ a grain of salt since it's a relatively new branch of psych. We had a lecture on sexuality/transgenderism etc. Sexual preference seems to be genetic. Some proof of this comes from experiments w/ sweat and pheromones, and many lesbians/gay men have specific finger lengths that correspond w androgen lvls apparently. Thus far, transgenderism seems to happen due to hormonal patterns during critical periods of growth and maturation. Critical periods happen when we're fetuses and when we experience puberty.
Words like "like", "umm", "uhhhh" , etc... Are vocal disfluencies to fill in silence as your brain searches what to say next. Because you're not on a deadline to post your message there isn't a need to fill in a silence with a vocal tock.
Because this was painful to read, I will not engage with the subject in your OP.
And contractions exist solely for the sake of ease of speaking, yet you typed out "you're" and "isn't".
You're and isn't are words with meaning however and come with intention, while uhhs and umms are verbal ticks.
Words such as "like" or "uh" can be utilize to convey a certain mood and/or tone of conveyance. Compare the difference between "No." and "Uhh, no.", or "Are you stupid?" and "Are you, like, stupid?".
Yeah, I'll give you that. An overabundance is certainly a meaningless tick though. Op may be trying to talk like a "valley girl" but is coming off instead as plain underaged and quite stupid. Just as I wouldn't expect someone with Tourette's to type their coprolagia, I don't think the valley girl types out her likes
AGP is caused by porn addiction and autism makes you like 10X more likely to troon out
it's caused by a heightened concentration of dark energy in the brain, meaning we will never know what causes it
bro like, I think there's gotta almost certainly be a genetic component, you know but maybe that's just a part of the multi-faceted probability of outcomes for your combination of gender identity and sexuality and all that relative to your culture and gender norms and kind of just sets you up for higher or simply existent odds of rolling the tranny neuro-path
