So is it a bad idea?

I have a decent amount to throw on a down payment. Is this a bad idea? There’s so many of these in my area running between 39-60k and apparently they last forever and aren’t a b***h to maintain yourself.

You will never ever get your money back. Great car but at the end of the day it’s a Chrysler with a Ferrari engine.

      Not again.

The Granturismo is not a Chrysler with a body kit. You’re thinking of the Ghibli which is hot garbage.

XK is a good option, I put 195k on my xkr before selling to my neighbor a few years ago, has 240 on it now. Traded it for an F type R, the XK was better.

I would never sell my car to a neighbor or family member. I just don’t want anyone coming to me like I’m their mechanic. I figure your neighbor just be pretty cool if you did though

Yeah, he's a great neighbor, older retired fella, he's had toys I doubt I'll ever acquire. Helped out a lot when I had spinal reconstruction.

The thing that scares me about Maseratis is they're almost always owned by hood types at some point. Like they have Nissan-tier preapproved financing so any Black who wants to roll like a rapper buys one and then trashes it. Then it gets sold at auction to a dealer who cleans out the Virginia Slims and sells it to an unsuspecting buyer.

This. Same thing with used hellcats and Camaros. Don’t buy a Maserati from the Bay Area.

are you really going to buy a rebadged fiat?
i mean with other rebadged stuff you have AT LEAST some quality improvements
maserati is singlehandedly the worst dogshit "luxury" car company on the planet right now
my dad considered buying a quadrogaylio once
first thing that happened after sitting in it, the plastic cap on the gear selector fell off like some cheap mcdonalds toy
the fake vents on the front fender look like dollar store shit glued on
a week later when he wanted to pick it up, the hydraulic steering failed
    save yourself please

It's a terrible car that's somehow extremely expensive to buy and to maintain. Good noise from the Ferrari engine tho

See these things all over town in Jupiter. It’s like part of the retired dentist / accountant uniform. Look dumb. Sound dumb. Aren’t that fast or at least none of the boomers want to do anything more than 0-40 before they start looking for Johnny law. I disrespect them in my Chevy Cruze commuter

If its necessary for you to find a "deal" to afford an older luxury car then its always a bad idea.
