wanted LULZ's opinion on Peter Gabriel's "So". would anyone recommend I listen to it to broaden my horizons? my good friend/instructor said as a bassist i should listen to all types of music and that i should give this album a try. what do you think?
kys
Yes. Tony Levin is fantastic on all of his stuff with Peter but his best bass work is actually with King Crimson. Definitely check these out if you want godtier bass playing
If you're a bassist and you don't already know about Tony Levin then you're beyond redemption.
This, great album for bass and an overall solid 80s pop album. I can't stand the song with Kate Bush though
This, fuck Kate Bush anyway, Wow is the worst fucking song I've ever heard and the zoomer Kate Bush revival thanks to Stranger Things can suck my dick
Should have stayed forgotten, bullshit artist
Rent free.
>thinks kate bush was ever "forgotten"
you're as retarded as the zoomers you hate who think she was obscure before stranger things lmao
>filtered by Don't Give Up
It's a beautiful duet, you plebs. It was very symbolic of its time in Britain as well, with strikes and redundancies going on etc.
>don't give up
>song about a straight white man feeling worthless
>song gives him sympathy and comfort
>beautiful woman dedicated to him telling him not to give up
>zoomer homosexuals: "hurrrrr i sure dun did hate dat song doh durrrrrrrr"
kys
no i know of tony levin, i was just talking about the album in general
Red Rain is a very good song
"In Your Eyes" makes me cry every time, lol. Not sure why.
the light, the heat most likely
lol what just listen to it you weirdo. its peter gabriels so not some 3 hour prog opera
Greatest male vocalist of all time
Would the make Collins a close second? They sound very similar but Collins is more a toad of a man.
This song is based though, fuck ghost
Kek the official Genesis YouTube left out the begining and the part where Mike gets caught with a gay black cowboy in the bathroom
I'm a huge Peter Gabriel fan... I want to recommend everything but to streamline the Tony Levin-ness of it all, listen to So, Us, and then watch the Secret World Live performance.
my dad had this disc, it sounded quite epic, I still remember
