Yeah totally I hate how people straighten their hair specifically by taking hrt, you caught me with your incredibly high intelligence. Now I’m gonna melt into a pile of seething herpes.
I'm really not. From the cis fat girls I see on social media and where I live she'd blend in fine.
Are you fat? I find a lot of fat people are terrible at clocking people, they have face blindness for normal people.
You internalized beauty standards that conflict with your own body and you’re using carcinogens to enforce someone else’s standard of beauty on yourself.

Now apply that same logic to HRT
Rather than internalize society’s standards of what it means to be male or female, you should look for ways to emphasize your natural beauty, including by taking HRT and presenting your gender according to the truest version of your internal self, rather than masking it. (We can keep going, I’m infinitely smarter than you and I’ll shit on whatever you come up with.)

Use a salon quality brand if you can. Figure out your curl type and hair density, and get products that support it. Shampoo only once per 1-2 weeks or more. Other days condition or use leave-in conditioner. When you want your hair to not frizz use a little styler too with a hold strength dependent on how bouncy you want it to be. For thinner hair, you’ll likely need occasional protein bonding treatments, like olaplex or curlsmith’s bonding treatment. You can also use a bonding hair oil to break the cast on your styler if you need some protein in there in a pinch. For dry hair use a deep conditioning mask 1-2 times a week or as needed. I am thick 3b hair. I use mostly curlsmith products, I like their vibrancy conditioner, I use co wash once a week when my head itches, I use their lightweight air dry leave in conditioner most days and pair it with the hydro flexy jelly for bouncy high volume curls. When I want it to sit flatter I use their oil in cream leave in conditioner. I wash with their apple cider vinegar detox shampoo or suave basic clarifying shampoo. On shampoo wash days I like to style with curlsmith hold me softly balm, and rarely I’ll use their styling soufflé as a styler too. My hair is thicc so I don’t need protein (no breakage). For masques the curlsmith ones are good but raw sugar mango/avocado masks are cheap and good. The Mielle rosemary mint masque is cheap and good for stimulating hair growth if that’s a concern for you. Honorary mention to the not your mothers apple masque which is cheap and smells so good even if it’s not the best.
Nta, but I tried everything and nothing made my hair not have a lot of frizz and volume and not look terrible all the time
I straightened it because it was ruining my mental health
The frizz when I would get out of my house and go outside was so bad I'd only go outside with it tied in a bun
My hair is super dense and thick, but I still get a lot of breakage (I think that's what it is), and my hair has always shed a LOT, before and after HRT. However, I don't think it shows any signs of thinning.
I almost considered getting just a very short almost boy-length hair cut because of how bad it was, but I decided to just get a chemical straightening
I now only have to worry about washing and moisturizing it, and don't have to have all the work of learning those complicated styling routines, having to have wash-day and non-wash-day routines to make sure my hair didn't get ruined, have to worry about not brushing it, etc
I've been told it looks really natural, so I think my routine is going well
Picrel is what it looked like before, and it was looking nice in that pic. You had to see what it looked like when I went outside
I kinda gave up on learning. I would need someone to grab my hand and teach me, and I have no one like that and I can't afford the amount of salon visits that it would take for me to figure out what to do with it to look good, because most curlies/wavies have hair that is not nearly as dense and thick as mine
It’s not hard, buy a continuous spray bottle (if you’re not willing to get it wet in the shower), a leave in conditioner, and a medium hold styler. Squirt the leave in conditioner in your hand, rub together, then run your hair between your palms focusing on spreading product on the tips. I use one squirt for front of my hair and one for the back. Then rake through your hair with your fingers to break up the clumps and add volume. Afterwards spread your styler across the top of your hair and do a little praying hands spread to get your hair around your forehead so it sticks in place and frames your face. Your hair looks kinda fine not thick, and it looks 2A which is barely wavy lol. If someone straightened it they did a terrible job and if you’re calling that curly it’s a stretch. Most people with hair like that can get away with no frizz by using a bonding oil/hair oil daily on the way out the door.
Because you lived as a white man, and white men absolutely abhor self care. Putting your hair in a bun or straightening it, isn't how you get rid of frizz dumbass.
1st you must absolutely use shampoo and more especially conditioner.
2nd. use hair wax/pomade

I did, I use the leave in conditioners, used the all the styling techniques, like the hand techniques, didn't touch my hair while it was drying, didn't rub the towel, and it still always looked the same
They also don't explain in a objective way the difference between the ton of styling products. They also talk in a way that they expect you to have a lot of knowledge from growing up as a girl, which means a lot of the little things they do, they don't explain and expect you to already know

I wish I had the money to go to a specialized salon so I could get all the personalized advice on how to take care of my hair, but I don't, so straightening it was the best thing I ever did. Now I don't need to learn those convoluted routined that require all your free time and that require a ton of time to even start learning. this. curly hair is so fucking hard to deal with, people with straight hair can fuckin not shower for a week and wake up and lazily brush their hair and it looks great, meanwhile curly hair you gotta spend 5000 euro a month on like 10 hair products and everytime you wash your hair you have to apply like five products and then you have to spend four hours drying it and then you cant touch your hair ever and also if its rainy or windy even a tiny bit your hair is ruined and also you have to sleep with a satin pillow case that you wash daily and also if any of your products have a single ingredient that isn't meant for you (it's meant for everyone else) your hair is fucked and also you cant move your head quickly or oops frizz! or look down or really do anything with your hair, its so great putting in a shit ton of money and time into my hair and it still looks super frizzy and shitty and people judge me for it meanwhile people with straight hair can use fucking any dollar store 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner and their hair looks amazing
