If the boots are that high, then yes. Folding at that height is even more ridiculous.

Also ywnbaw, answering in case any normal people are wondering the same thing.

I’d say not tucking is fine for ankle boots like chukkas or chelseas, but anything higher and it’s better to go tucked.

Unless you are a woman or are going for a Neofolk look, no, don’t do it. Even in old biker movies, similarly tall engineer boots, for instance, were under jeans.

You can do it but you have to go all in. Are you a metalhead, or do you just want to look like one? Looking like a metalhead won’t help you if your social group isn’t part of the scene.

All the gays and posers on here will tell you you’ll look like shit but if they showed up to a metal show in sockless leather loafers, with their dress shirt tucked into their tiny rolled up khaki shorts they would be the one who looks like a larping gay.

Likewise if you try to go to brunch or whatever the heck these normies on this board do in full metal gear you’ll look like a tryhard. It’s all about set and setting.

    t. metalhead. I don’t dress this overt but I do dress metal and so do most people I know. Because I live, work, and socialize within that crowd I look great, but if I ever venture from the shire I always just wear chinos and a button down or whatever. The last thing you want to do is look like you’re intentionally trying to get attention for the way you dress. So at the dentist it’s normie shit but at work (I’m a sound tech) or at the bar it’s band shirts, combat boots, and leather.

Forgot image. This guy slays pussy at the metal show but weirds out the girls in your community college business class

      Dude, you’ve either;
      A) Never been outside in your life
      OR
      B) Haven’t been to a show in a real city since the ‘80’s

      I can’t decide which

100% guarantee if you go to shows at all they are punk or -coreshit.

I’m sure when your mom drops you off at the Bring me the Horizon show you fit right in with you tiny pants and snake bite piercings you hecking poser.

    >So what are you doing after the show, anon-kun?
    >Wanna go to my place and do whippets with my 4 roomates that look exactly like me and smell like shit?

If you don’t tuck, they’re going to look more like ordinary shoes. part of the appeal of combat boots is the authoritative and stylish lace-up shaft. Covering that up removes most of the look

I don’t get the hate for tucking in high boots. It allows you to actually use the silhouette of the boots. I’ve never seen a real argument against them just "hurrrr muh soldier"

Don’t ever take fashion advice from post-2016 /fashion/. Nothing but normalfags afraid of fits that actually stand out in a crowd.

This, lace code is still a thing, girls can get away with but if you’re a guy lacing your boots with white/red is just asking for trouble

        >if you’re a guy lacing your boots with white/red is just asking for trouble
Who invents and who follows these hyper autistic "rules"? This shit is hecking laughable.

skinheads and punks started it and then its knowledge spread to all of the other hard-ass urban tribes and subcultures who ended up enforcing it as well due to its extreme nature by either silently judging you or just bashing your head in.
It seems laughable until you run into a pack of the wrong people wearing the wrong shit and then the jokes on you.

This has never happened. It’s not the 80s you hecking boomer gangs of white youths aren’t roaming the streets beating up rival punks.

HAHAHAhahahahaha holy kek anon, ok wear them white and red laces im sure you will be fine and you will not deserve the nothing that will not happen to you.

This isn’t the 80s anymore, most people don’t even know that docs were associated with skinheads

Why do Americans have to add stupid bullshit to imported subcultures, that has never meant anything here in the UK where skinheads came from, a lot of us were not white supremacists either, just working class lads having fun, and enjoying the clothes and music(oi, ska and reggae). Honestly yank skins are so unlike the original culture they might as well be called something else. Oh right they are, we call them boneheads.

dude, im from Argentina, i’ve actually seen skinheads, punks and hardcore guys beat the shit out of each other for a plethora of bullshit reasons including the hecking boot laces, if you have never been near those types of people shut the heck up about it.

          • Anonymous says:

Skinhead gangs were a thing in Britain a good 17 years before they even existed in america, most i have spoke to from that time who are now 65+ years old think it sounds hecking stupid. They fought greasers, hippies, and other skinhead gangs from other areas and rival football fans. There wasn’t really a racial aspect to it, there was black skinheads.

          • Anonymous says:

UK "gangs" were just bunch of young kids going to gigs and drinking, US Skinheads are part of an entire criminal organization that’s primarily lead by Aryan Brotherhood

          • Anonymous says:

They were still gangs defending there own turf, and they still went around causing trouble, not all gangs are involved in organised crime. many regret now they are older because people did get hurt.

There is skins in the US who are like proper skinheads too, none of this Aryan brotherhood bullshit.

    • Anonymous says:

That b***h wearing white laces like she a white supremacist lmao

This, lace code is still a thing, girls can get away with but if you’re a guy lacing your boots with white/red is just asking for trouble

Isn’t that just for Docs though?

  7. Anonymous says:

    >its another pretending that lace code is still a thing episode
cant go one month without it, huh
willing to bet more people know about handkerchief code than hecking lace at this point.
