If I were you I'd get a fully remote programming role and just go somewhere amazing where you can be at peace. There is absolutely no escaping roastie HR managers and Indian team leads in the future of the western working world. It's beyond over when it comes to that shit so the next best thing is simply never having to deal with them in person. If you're well paid right now, honestly leverage that into a fully remote role and fuck off to the bahamas.
It is fully remote and it still fucking sucks, most of my time is spent in meetings via zoom. I still have to remain in my current country for tax reasons and VPN's are heavily restricted due to gubberment contracts we have.

I am an awful hypocrite. My friends have successfully used my advice, but I have enough of a network built up that the last time I was fired, I had a better job in three business days. I just do what I want, set everything on fire, call myself a genius, and then bail.
But yeah, you probably want to have an actual job offer lined up if you're planning on using it as salary leverage.
