I’m confused as to my moral reasoning behind this in the first place - as it feels like I’d be making a terrible decision but better in the long run or a good decision but I’ll regret it in later years.
Right now there’s three things - Option 1 is to lose it with a pro that I verified is legit and seem to be newbie friendly.
Option 2 is to try to be closer with my crush who is on the same team as me in college, and we’re working on the same project, but I’m fearful as to rejections from her specifically.
Option 3 is to go to another country - specifically Japan, and then I can practice dating and then losing it there.
Option 4 is to stay celibate.
Right now my stats aren’t great - I’ll be having surgery which can impact my movement for a few months, and I’m generally considered a net negative in the sexual market with the stats I have. But somehow I managed to prevail and I’ve got a good friend group, I’m working toward my degree while having a stable career, and I’m looking to get new experiences as a person since I’ll be traveling abroad.
Wat do anons? Should I take it with the chance of a pro or learn to date my crush slowly or go somewhere in a new place and try again?

20M. Unironically not a weeb, it just that my university has a sister campus that they like to take student on trips to. It’s nothing new really - they have another for Germany which I wanted to do since they got STEM related subjects, unlike for Japan which is limited to business and math courses taught in English.
In return we get students from their universities coming to our campus so it balances out.

Also, last I checked, overwhelming majority of japs don't know any English, so I don't think you're gonna get any pussy there, unless you know moonrunes. And since you're not a weeb I think you don't. But if you know the language then you can try I guess?
Worst case, you'll get a cool trip to a completely different country.
I could learn the language, right now I’m using Duolingo everyday to catch up on my French, German, and Japanese.
Also doesn’t help that I’ve got Bengali parents so there’s some similarity in the way I can learn languages but then again it took me until 6th grade to understand English grammars.
Also I wish I could get into Germany or France but unfortunately post-bug has been just constant back and forth. I’m not even sure if I can get accepted in Japan either if the system says no, but then again they told me that they’re running it again in Spring 2024.
That being said, I guess the more plausible option would be with a pro which I can probably do anytime. With my crush it gonna be taking some time after I git gud but I’m gonna be starting off like new w/her.
With Japan I think I’m probably gonna struggle unless I can speak to a certain degree and be immersed in the culture, but it’s gonna require me a full year on the side to learn a new language and the side of the culture that is actually interesting.
I’ll still apply to the program and see what I can do about it but I’m not holding my breath on it.

unless bengali is similar to jap (and I don't think it is), there's no fucking way you're learning it in a year. This language is an absolute bitch to learn, and I've been learning it for years. Don't delude yourself you can learn it quickly, nobody can.
Yeah it’s not similar at all, the only similarity is the fact that they’re both predominantly spoken in a region of Asia.
I think as long as I can understand some basic mannerism, basic knowledge of wherever the hell I’m going and trying to learn everyday I should be fine. Plus I think the university I’m going to is in one of Tokyo prefecture as well.
That seem to be the logical conclusion here. I think I’ll try to make some small talk here and there but if nothing comes around October, I’ll try to talk with the pros.

I think the fastest way is to go with a pro since it’s instant, slowest way is with my crush. But I honestly feel like no matter what I do I’ll pretty much regret it but I wanna use this as a learning opportunity, not regrets.
By learning I mean pretty much gaining XP be it dating, sex, relationships, social skills, dressing well, fitness, etc.

That being said I think people misunderstood when I say that Japan - it’s only because it’s the most likely option to travel abroad for me at least in my school. If I had the option I would’ve went to Europe and try dating there.
