Throw it in the trash, it's the cities problem now
Also yours when your trash bin is on fire
Throw it in a public trash can then
Sure if you want to get fined. Or maybe spy a position for a while, then run for it?
>if you want to get fined
do you need to register what you throw into a public trash can in america?
>public trash can
it's the city's problem now
>someone else's trash can
it's your neighbor's problem now
>shopping mall/fast food restaurant/etc trash can
it's the owner's problem now
>throw it as far as you can
it's whoever owns whatever it lands on problem now
I always just throw it away with the other trash, not your problem, don't overthink it.
You could kill your gabageman with exploding trash when he tries to empty your bin
Fuck him then, probably some immigrant anyway.
Do you also dump your cigarettes on babies? This is LULZ though, all sort of puppy kickers going around
I don't smoke.
And you could be caught doing it.
By throwing away trash, you will not be caught, totally safe.
oh no not the poor wagie.. if he wanted a job without those kinds of risk involved maybe he should go to college like most other people
There wouldn't be risks without you creating them
Toss it in the sea and get free fireworks in the process.
You don't have flameproof containers?
You collect all your batteries for years because you don't want to throw them into the regular thrash.
The batteries keep accumulating.
Ultimately you decide you can't be bothered to drive to some disposal center and you throw all your collection into the trash
In my country every shop is required to take batteries for free. You also get paid for bringing in aluminum and plastic
can anyone please explain to me why people save gold and silver, but we cant save batteries as investment?
once people start mass adoption of electric cars and the materials inside batteries are more rare, wont they increase in value?
or is it impossible to extract them from the battery?
Seems to me like lithium and other battery components will be like copper in the future only more rare and expensive
>mass adoption of electric cars
What retards still believe it?
My boss has one, tellsus it's a crazy fun drive
He has it because he's your boss. It's a luxury item. Electric cars will only increase in cost as normal cars decrease in viability.
We could totally recycle them, it's just not profitable atm, and nobody is taking the bet to hoard industry scale explosives for massive loss
Those kinds of hoarders will probably die in a house fire, just because of probability.
I read an article that there is some old gen1 toyota Rav4 hybrid which people scour junkyards for because the car is worth 2k but the battery components are like 20k, so they must be able to reuse them somehow
it would cost more to recycle them
recycling for most things is a meme
The elements used for batteries aren't rare, they won't run out even if every family on earth buys dozens of electric vehicles.
>You collect all your batteries
>The batteries keep accumulating.
discharge it to 0V.
it is now safe to throw away
you can hook an LED to discharge it quite a bit
0.1W will take ages and battery's charge controller will prevent it from going below safe levels. Removing controller may result in spontaenous combustion
>0.1W will take ages
1W LEDs are extremely common, as are even higher wattages. but either way, so what if it takes long?
>and battery's charge controller will prevent it from going below safe levels.
true but you can at least discharge most of the charge. are you sure phone batteries even have charge controllers? I mean yeah they probably do, but I can see this being on the phone itself
Running the charge controller on the phone's CPU is a terrible idea because any app could potentially interfere and cause hardware damage so I'd be surprised if Apple doesn't do so already.
>Running the charge controller on the phone's CPU
thats not what i suggested. I suggested that the phone itself had a charge controller chip. I can see this being a safety advantage because it means 3rd party chinese batteries wont explode your phone
Use the smartphone general, botposter.
Throw it on your BBQ for a fun fireworks display and to render it inert.
stab it with a knife on some pavement wearing gloves and preferably the knife or tool attached to something that isnt your hand, let it blow up & catch fire, then throw it in the trash. small phone batteries wont have enough energy to do anything except act like a firey vinegar/baking soda "bomb".
Just place it on some lit up logs somewhere in the desert and run away, lmao. It's just acid and metal, it's gonna come to a low energy point within couple of days. Some firewoeks too. You can burn ANY trash, it really does not matter for the planet.
Looks like target practice from here.
Stab it with a knife in your driveway like a real man.
i shoot my inflated batteries at a safe distance
Must be fun to be able to own a gun. Stabbing a houserobber will get you jailed here
eat
I put mine in a sandbox and poke em with a long stick.
Dump it in the cellphone/electronics bin at Target.
I had no idea they did this
handy to know, ty anon
throw it across the street into the bushes at night after wiping off fingerprints
just throw it into the ocean
Shoot it for fun
Extremely unsatisfying tbqh
Carefully put in a bag or box and put it in your bin.
It'll explode inside the garbage truck and do absolutely nothing.
