Semi-Trans

I like to consider myself "semi-trans".
I have AGP and I generally enjoy inserting myself in women in fictional media (gender euphoria), but I am also perfectly content with being male (lack of gender dysphoria).
Additionally, I also do not try to transition and have no desire to do so.

There should be a term for us.

I used to be like that but dysphoria caught up with me.

I genuinely believe I will never be dysphoric.
      Not without gaslighting, I guess.

Wishing to be a woman? Maybe, sometimes.
I wouldn't mind it that much, but I don't mind being male, either.

Do you never wish you were dysphoric so that you could transition?

Transitioning sounds really tough for children.
My childhood was already tough enough with a very dysfunctional family and my mother constantly threatening to commit suicide while I had to take care of my brother, so transitioning would have probably made things even worse.

You don't have to troon as a child through.

children can't consent to it anyway, saying otherwise is grooming and advocating for castration

True enough, through it highly depends on what "children" means.
            If it's sub-12 yo, sure.
But Americans have an awful tendency to call 17 or even 20 yo children.

why give out a shitty opinion when professionals say they can, there's a research on that if you care to look for 5 minutes, no need to guess based on feelings, doctors should decide on case by case basis instead of tying their hands from helping kids with their real issues, they're not going away, issues I mean, as kids might take an early exit when left alone with their problems...

more like do you think it would have been nice to actually experience gender dysphoria? sure, it can hurt, but then you'd be an obvious case for transition and you'd likely benefit a lot and enjoy your body after, does suffering from dysphoria so you could transition like trans people sound appealing at all? 🙂

I know, me too. I wished I was trans a while before realising that oh shit, I'm actually trans xd denial can go very deep, and if you don't accept that you're trans you might not even be aware of your dysphoria

            Yeah...
            I am on HRT now.
I am not even sure as to whether I am trans still, but i am glad not to be on T anymore.

            >does suffering from dysphoria so you could transition like trans people sound appealing at all?
Only on a very sexual level (as in, being able to express myself in a feminine sexual manner).
Otherwise, being a woman IRL sounds like a real pain in the ass.

why? you said it yourself, you’re perfectly content being male. projecting onto female characters means nothing if you’re otherwise not transitioning.

To clarify on why I made this thread,

the thing that perked up my "gender euphoria" was this pic I saw on NSFFW.
Inserting myself in the woman in this image feels natural to me, and I'm just imagining myself feeling wholesome and motherly as the pregnant woman, being on cloud nine as my body spills hormones to make me care about my unborn child, while my cute boyfriend is working things out with her primary lover.

So, because this very real thing I'm experiencing does not have academic consensus it's "not grounded in actual reality"?
        I hecking love science.

tell me how self inserting onto pregnant fictional characters has anything to do with reality, especially given your irl body and situation.

gender euphoria does not make you trans nor does it warrant any label. you are not a minority. you are not oppressed. you’re just a homosexual

      bro you are weird af
gender euphoria is not a diagnosable thing like dysphoria is. it doesn’t make you trans nor “semi-trans” just because you project onto fiction.

if your entire basis for this is not grounded in actual reality then you’re more delusional than trans imho

That used to be me back in 2021 but FOMO somehow gave me actual dysphoria. The concept of transitioning used to feel foreign but now it’s the first and last thing I think about every single day.

Same for me. Weirdest thing is that the way I developed dysphoria had nothing to do my AGP, like, it was a completely different outlet.

We are so fricking cursed holy shit, I hate it so much.

I don't experience dysphoria, just disappointment as a side effect of not experiencing euphoria, which is not really a gendered condition. >mfw I'm a late onset AGP FOMOcel on top of this also
