go read up some Peter Turchin. standards of living among the plebs in the west have been declining for almost two decades now, first time ever. pragmatic elites have been preparing while the rest kept fucking over the plebs, digging their grave deeper. you can also read this article from a pro-western source to get an idea. high tech research in the west is a fucking joke. everyone marvels at the endless amounts of money the chinks throw at research. everyone in academia knows, at least. huawei is even attracting talent and doing good research south of the fucking border. that's why some of the neocons are arguing for an outright war in here.

Legit can someone explain to me why we as a society agree with the current course the west has gone on towards China? I mean it blows my mind that we are actively trying to technologically retard another nation. Like it's completely antagonistic and will do nothing but harbour bad feelings to a nation of like 1.5 billion people who now see the west as an archaic bully who is trying to maintain their status as global suzerain by any means possible (and make us look like complete morons when we fail). What possible benefit could this course have had, even assuming it worked perfectly, which it obviously hasn't.

Even the Ouïghour bullshit was overblown. These faggs were beheading people in the metros that Han built in their shithole. Instead of killing them the Han showed Han-style magnanimity and offered to school them to make them normal instead of retarded muslims.
If we did this in Algeria we would have dodged 1 or 10 bullets.
Meanwhile the US was raping muslims with brooms in black op sites but it's ok.

        >End of the day the US is king and insulated itself against others collapsing by having a lot of diversity in its economy

you're delusional. China produces 19 times as much steel as the US and builds more than half of the world's ships.

a single Chinese shipyard has more capacity than all of America's shipyards put together, and China has many of them.

Current Apple A15 SOC is on TSMC's 5nm node, not 3nm.

Depending on the specific characteristics of SMIC's 7nm node it may be a long way away from TSMC's 5nm process or it may be relatively close by.

Regardless, the western world is utterly shocked that China now appears to be technology independent well under the 32nm node.

So why didnt they release new phones in 2021 or 2022?

  28. 3 weeks ago
    Anonymous

    Tip of the iceberg

QCOM/AVGO/QRVO has long dominated 5G modem & RF. Even APPL can't do it internally

In M60, Huawei has fully domestic built-in 5G modem + RF that uploads/downloads as fast as X70
+ combined that w/ satcom chipset

    Chinese OEMs sell 700m phones/yr?
    $30/phone -> $21B for just 5G RFFE
Chinese supply chain had maybe 10% market share in 2021
If this rises to 25% in 2024
    40% in 2025
$6B less for foreign RF products

QCOM modem comes w/ Soc, but
Let's say Xiaomi develops own modemless SoC (because 5G modem is hard!) + use HW 5G modem -> QCOM lose $180/phone

None of this happens overnight, but future of QCOM looks bleak

Same with AVGO/QRVO/Murata if Chinese OEMs buy domestic RF filters & power amplifier modules.

Beyond that, China can fully sanction Ga export with no feared consequences.

But of course, MSM only wants to talk about a 7nm chip

          That's massive progress.

In five years time SMIC may be global second only to TSMC - and TSMC is entirely dependent on US/EU controlled technology.

It's absurd how many chink shills there are on /misc/ these days, and people act like it's completely natural.

China is a rising power. The US is in sharp decline.

China is such a weird fucking situation.
White people are basically hyper advanced aliens that came and enslaved them. They got some advanced technology and have been reverse engineering it to free their race from an oppressive aliens species controlled by wizard parasites.

Being Chinese is so fucking kino.

China is the Tau. Africa is orcs. israelites are eldari. Europe is Man. US is a renegade merchant guild turned into an Empire.

      >eldar
a merchant empire means an unfettered water empire, with no beliefs or values beyond individualistic freedom. that's why i think present-day america and its vassals by extension are pretty much dark eldars, piracy empire and all. it's just that the fall is so slow most people will only realize decades after it happened.
      >europe is man
not really sure there's a nation like it. there are a bunch of third position factions scattered everywhere, like the pan-arabists, or the populists of europe that might be them, but they're not really regimes yet. China's two other allies might fight the bill. Iran, especially.
      >China is the Tau
      works well enough.
      >Africa is orcs
on the mark. maybe add the rest of the third world as well.
maybe i should start using your analogies to explainfag. thanks for the idea, anon, i'm gonna steal it.
